I already do something like this for all my daemons, but the spot variation is something new to me. I was trying to figure out a quick, wash-oriented way to get something like that done, thanks!

Yea thats a great tut. Ive been teaching my son to paint starting with washes and at age 8 he has pumped out a couple rather impressive minis using a similar method. Just washing everything.

This is really useful to someone like me who is terrible at painting . I have a question though did you use multiple coats of camoshade when covering the white i'm sorry if this is a no brainier question i'm new to the hobby.
