Afternoon - I thought I'd share a rules clarification I received from Forgeworld today

I asked:

Hello - I have some questions about Imperial Armour Volume 2, I understand this is being updated to a "second Edition" version at some point but I wanted to ask these questions now.

Repressor - according the to the latest FAQ I could find Repressors are a choice for various Sisters units and Inq. Storm Troopers and Arbites squads. I have taken this to mean that they can be used as dedicated transports for Inquisitorial warbands from the latest Grey Knights codex - is this correct?
Inquisitor Valkyrie - According to the same FAQ, Inq. Valkyries are available to stormtrooper squads or Inquisitors and their retinue. I've treated this as a dedicated transport choice only available to Inquisitors and their warbands - is this correct?

I'm using Hector Rex in the Valkyrie along with the original Inquisitorial Valkyrie doors from FW. The above option I've highlighted regarding the Valkyrie seems to be supported with actual models as well as fluff background regarding Rex. It would be a shame to lose the colour this brings to games so I'd appreciate some consideration being given to adding these rules specifically into the second edition of IA V2.

Thanks for your help

and they replied:

Thank you for your email. If you visit the downloads section of our website, there is an updates sheet for the Repressor, that was posted there within the last month. after this update, the Repressor is listed as sisters of Battle only, but this may change with IA2, 2nd edition.
With regards to the Valkyrie, use them as per your question until any new update is released.

So a yes you could, now you can' t, you may in the future for one and a resounding yes for the other.

So if you fancy making your Inquisitors a bit more fun and fluffy, whack in a Valkyrie.

I'd rather use Grey Knights when actually playing Codex: Grey Knights, while my Sisters are standing in for Blood Angels until such time as they receive an real codex. However, thank you for the update.

Well ideally I'd agree - there should be a separate forces of the imperium codex or similar which has all the flavour and fluffiness and the knights stand as shiny knights - but it's still interesting to have a mixed up force
