Thoughts on the theming of my basing. I have been basing my Dark Angels with a wasteland/rocky desolate style. I have been using cork for the mountainous look. My thoughts were to have my Knights in very dynamic poses, seeing as how they are skilled riders and move at break neck speeds to get the job done. This is one example. Did I do too much? Does this look good or stupid? Thank you for comments, pleasant or hateful.

Those are going to look epic! Pose one comin' off a wheely with the rider blazing away with his bolter; that would be a sweet model.

Freaking sweet. If they all look as awesome as this you will have a great looking army to use. I just hope you're up for putting as much effort into all your miniatures to make them as good as this.

my only problem with the multi-levelled cork is that it looks more like he's riding off a set of stairs than normal rocks

This, really. That one already looks great, one doing that will be "OVER 9000!" kinds of epic.

If you're going to have a biker bouncing down steps like that then have the back wheel off the ground a bit to show that he's riding over rough terrain at speed.

Looking good, although I'd try breaking the cork up a bit more. Just to make it look less like stairs and more like natural rocks.

Thanks for all the feedback, this is still WIP and my knight isn't glued down yet. I will cut the cork up to give a less "staircase" look. By all means if anybody likes it feel free to use the idea yourself

Not sure if people are still checking this out or not but I had some inspiration late last night and got some painting and basing done. Hope you like it, because I really do. I still need to do some washes and dry brushing on the bases before I'm completely happy. And of course much more painting on the knights themselves.
