just finished painting this guy. sadly when i varnished him he was frosted.... varnishing is more risk than its worth.

Frosted or not he still looks really good. Just say it's warpflame.

varnishing is sometimes tricky, but like Shadowbrand said he still looks great! Good colors!

Yeah its definitely my favorite looking model. that's why I wanted him to look really good. I also found one on ebay unpainted and unassembled for like $3.00.

thanks for the complements!

I bet we ordered the mini from the same seller, I cant understand how its possible to get a mini like this for such a cheap deal..?
I've been getting some bargains after a long hiatus of like 7-8 years without painting, and I'm eager to get started on something new :-)

Its possible cause mostly people just want the cultists, bikers, and termies from dark vengeance, so the rest is cheap to pick up.

If you want to get rid of "frosting" just spray over with gloss coat and then hit it again with matte

Really nice job. Sorry you feel bad about the varnish job. If it was me, I would probably strip it (oh the agony...), and do it again. Not a suggestion, just what I would do.

Nice paint job, looks very good IMO.

I can't see the frosting, but I clear coat all my models with rustoleum 2x matte clear coat, for protection against wear and tear, followed by testors dullcoat enamel spray, and I've never had problems with frosting with that recipe. Might be worth a try.

Re-varnish it with gloss spray then Testors Dullcote. The frosting will disappear! Only do this with a well shaken can and low humidity or it'll get more frosting.

Nice model.
