I have been working on the body of my Stegadon for a while now and I thought that I would ask you good people for any C&C. But also I would like basing ideas for my Lizardman army, they are themed and will akin to the Stegadon in style. The look I was going for was that their scales had some how been turned into jade (or some other such material) as the result of some curse or other (not really thought about this part). Sorry about the photos still trying to find the best place to take them. Also what colour should the wood of the howda be I need some ideas on this.

Jade -- very interesting idea.

You need to sit down and have a talk with your lizardmen; they may been scammed by the sorcerer they bought their Jade Scales from. Fake Jade is a very common occurrence - the best way to check is to take a piece of glass and try scratching it with the 'Jade', if the 'Jade' scratched the glass then it is true Jade... if not..... fake.

If it is indeed fake, I suggest you go contact the police in your area. In this case, that's probably the Empire and they're probably out getting slaughtered somewhere.

This comes from a person who has lived in China for 13 years and has come into contact with many fake Jade items.

IT looks really pretty, kinda bovine in nature while still looking really powerful Good job on the scales, the less smooth shades on the scales really give it a realistic feel

I made some more progress today, managed to touch up a few bits on the body that were annoying me. But also I started the howdah, finally. Going to be a long haul to finish this project lol. This part is still very much a WIP, lots of touch ups to do and not to mention a wash. Only took a few paints to do...

Looks good! And I don't know much about Lizardmen, or Fantasy, but their Carnivores right? Why not out multiple creatures skeletons on the bases, or even just skulls? And you could get green stuff and do it between the bones and make it look like flesh, texture with exacto knife and slap a coat of Bugman's GLow base paint on it!

I don't know though lol, good luck to you however you decide to do it! And I want to see the finished product when it's done!

I think I have half a horse somewhere in my bits collection, so that could make a nice addition to one of the bases. I quite like the idea of bones or skeletons on the bases, anyone got links? Going to do some research now see If I can find me some.

Mini art studio brand has really cool basing stuff and accessories of that sort.

So finished up most of the stegadon, apart from the crew which will done at the same time as the bastilladon's crew (I have no idea when Ill get around to that). So I have some basing ideas, including the use of half a horse and some other dead body bits I had lying around will but its going to take some time lol.

Looks really good, I like the detail on the saddle thing on the top of his back.
