Does anyone know if Mousemuffins is making their not-Lamenters shoulder pads? I've been looking for some, and they have the perfect ones. However, they don't seem to have them on their webstore anymore.....

Thanks,

Lucarikx

Seems, he concentrates on his new job. All old products and websites (including the Wraithbikes for Eldar players) are not currently supported, because casting in Australia is too expensive. This may change in the future.

He's now working for miniaturescenery designing new stuff for them.

He redesigned some of their desert buildings to make them more SF and has a few vehicle designs going, too.

I joined an Australian forum, emailed several of his email addresses, and emailed past clients of his to try to get some--I agree, they are perfect!

The response I eventually got was that he's not making them any more and was not planning to because it's a hassle (along with an apology that he doesn't use the email address on the site with the pads any more). So I think we are out of luck. As others have posted, though, he's still active on other projects.

I found a 3D print which was similar to the Lamenters design on Shapeways, but they didn't turn out so well in the flesh so I'd not recommend them. I also asked Chapterhouse, who initially responded with some enthusiasm for doing a custom one, but then did not hear back again.

This guy has some checked ones, although no hearts on them, and I don't know how they are in the flesh, but perhaps he could be approached (I did not try): http://mastercrafted.co.uk/shop/ If you get in touch with the guy drop me a PM as I'd be interested to (painting my Lamenters is next on my list after my current project).

So to any sculptor reading this... hole in the market waiting to be filled.

Yeah, casting here is not something that can be viable here for "hobby" stuff.

To make 1 copy of a model will cost you more than that model (GW, hypothetically speaking) will cost you.

Even making 10 of them isn't approaching break-even.
20+ gets to break-even and cost-effective.

Unfortunately, 50 is where the moulds start to break down (with a good mould release and careful planning, you can push it to 100). So you have to make new moulds again.

We don't have any commercial resin casting mobs who do it as a pro job. You CAN get metals cast up (Eureka can do it) but as we don't have the same populations as the US or UK, it's just not a viable thing to do.

Best way is to PM him here or ask in the above thread. Some of his emails are inactive.
