Ultramar Auxillia Defense - The Fighting Sons of Calth
A detatchment from the 5th Regiment of Calth of the UAD, frequently fighting alongside Ultramarines veterans of the UAD have often times traveled to some of the farthest corners of the galaxy and fought the toughest foes of the Imperium!
Got all of the stuff used and real cheap except for a few gaurdsmen that were mundans I had from when I was younger, previously had the Baneblade and the Russ-es as part of Necromundan force but Im folding them into a greater Imperium force that reflects all of the forces of Ultramar: Marines, Gaurd, Inquisition and Mechanicus. This is second part (the first being an entire Ultramarine company) but its the first detatchment that I finished. I'm no ridiculously great modeler/painter but I do love me some fluff and thought I'de share.
Wow, that paint scheme is atrocious, but you did a pretty decent job. It's not your fault they have ugly colors. I like the fluff behind them as well, keep up the good work.
A Heretic may see the truth and seek redemption. He may be forgiven his past and will be absolved in death. A Traitor can never be forgiven. A Traitor will never find peace in this world or the next. There is nothing as wretched or as hated in all the world as a Traitor. - Cardinal Khrysdam, Instructum Absolutio

you dont like the blue!? or you dont like the green!? just kidding!
I love bright crazy heavy metal space fantasy colors, but I also may or may not take drugs all the time so oversaturated colors like that appeal to me a little differently maybe. but yeah more seriously I wanted to match my smurfs as Im probably using them solely as detatchments within an Inquisitiorial/Marine force.
If it comforts you at all the units from the other planets, all the (metal gaurdsmen pieces) will be completely different and will reflect their different enviroments.
On these guys though, I figured they should look like UN soldiers in space. All its regulars lived in horrid little cities on a hiveworld, Probably no camo pattern immediately, just drabs and theyre given this one bright blue piece of matching equipment and they are established as cojoined force to fight on some dusty rock whos saftey will eventually be destroyed by another invansion in another hundred years...
