I posted awhile back and got some good feedback on what I should do. I still have a lot of painting to do before I am remotely happy with it but I decided to post some updated pictures and see what everyone thinks of my modeling.

There are a few ways one can go about responding to a post like yours;

I could question the wisdom in placing a predominantly black model on a black shiny surface with a black background.

I could sarcastically comment on all the distracting features, ie everything but the bikers, such as the paint pots, the paint station, the Dark Vengeance Special Edition Chaplain, the shinyness of the work surface, the blue shelving arrangement or the little square thing on the paint station.

I could also keep it strictly positive and focus on the fact that you made an effort to introduce (just about) enough light in the pictures, and that they are nice and crisp.

In the end I'll just go with;

Putting your models on a piece of paper and bending it up behind the model helps cutting out distracting elements, puts the model in focus and promotes constructive criticism.

Nice work.

Dakka is the ork word for shooting, but the ork concept of shooting is saturation fire. Just as there is no such thing as a "miss" in a target-rich environment, there is no such thing as a "dodge" in a bullet rich one
