Isn't this the chap who just guesses, and throws things at the wall to see if they will stick? My first thought, looking at that list, is a mixture of things already rumoured (tryanids, dark elves) self-evident (hard copy of farsight dex, hobbit releases) and things which are fairly vague, likely, but deniable if they don't happen (ie supplements for every known 40k sub-faction).

Eldar Corsairs: 4000 pts
Imperial Guard: 4000 pts

He's a master of garbage, yes.

Stickmonkey - Total rumors: (115 TRUE) / (238 FALSE) / (41 PARTIALLY TRUE/VAGUE)

8000 points of XI Legion the Space Vagabonds, they can adapt their tactics to represent any and every Legion and Chapter as needed because they were created by the Emperor to be the ultimate tactical power. They have faked their disappearance in order to infiltrate every part of the conflicts in the galaxy.

8000 points of Tau/Craftworld Eldar/Necron because the Space Vagabonds can also emulate their wargear and tactics.

Victories: ALL
Losses: NONE (My armies have the psychic ability to conjure a cataclysmic storm whenever they are about to lose. This allows the Space Vagabonds to teleport away while releasing power waves that destroys the battlefield and so every battle is a victory)

Well, Farsight Enclaves Hardcopy in October agrees with the rumours I've seen on this shady website.

I'm willing to bet this part at least might be true!

So he copied what we already "know" and added some informed guesses. Classic stickmonkey.

I guess he has to post via Faeit because nobody else will take him seriously.

Because he repeats what other people have said first, that TRUE value is much higher than it should be. Pretre's been pretty generous with granting trues as well.

Wait, Ultramorons just got a codex last month, why do they get a suppliment too? Ugg I hate GW priorities.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs

By that logic, Iyanden also got two codexes in a row.

ultramarines didn't get a codex last month. There was a space marine codex with an ultramarine on the front, maybe you got confused.

Also, please don't insult peoples' hobby by refering to um as 'ultramorons'. Than ks.

The plural of codex is codexes.

I agree that was a Space Marine codex, however considering that half the characters in it are Ultramarines, I think they should be the last one out of the group to get their suppliment.

I am the good one. Although if there is anything you think I should reconsider, you can bring it up in the tracker thread. I agree that he is rather calculating though in his 'adoption' of other people's rumors.

That is not true. He was the first to get the Necron release date right, also several details of the Necron design, one year in advance.
His speculation on a "summer of flyers" became reality one year later than he thought.
His sources are from an early stage of production, therefore prone to changes in details and timescale.
Most of his misses are recent (change of source?), although I admit that his release schedule predictions are not his strong suit.

Not strictly true, as others have mentioned, but I do agree, being probably the most orthodox codex chapter and being the most represented in terms of SC, they surely have to be the least in need of any sort of supplement? One could easily expand any of the other original Legions beyond what is represented in the Codex ahead of UM.

I'm impressed by the number of supplements to be released - even more so since they are for armies that are not necessarily the most popular (looks like a supplement per month).

I'm glad to see hobbit only mentioned in Dec - sorry LotR fans, but I'd rather see effort put into things that actually sell.

One thing I'm really interested in seeing is the wood elves at the veryyyy end of the list (hopefully 2014 and not 2015). It would be convenient to finally get into fantasy with a brand new edition, army book, and updated models!

Can't say I'm "impressed" with all these supplements.. Feels like GW asked themselves "What items are the most cost effective to gouge our customers with"..

Books!

Yes, it's nice my armies get supplements but if the previous ones are any indication.. I'm paying a lot of money for fluff they may or may not butcher and some poorly thought out rules.

Maybe I'll be surprised and the quality will increase. In the meantime you're paying twice for each codex basically..

How's about this then.

Anyone with an established reputation (we can use the rumour tracker for this, >60% accuracy and more than 25 shared, separate rumours maybe?) we give access to a moderated thread which is somewhat like the GW sticky, effectively a transmit only thread, and discussion is conducted elsewhere.

I can see an argument against this, as it isn't really in the manner of Dakka to be as controlling as some other sites, but if it means we can get people to come here with news first and without fear of being attacked or ridiculed (but with the option to participate in the discussion if they want, but also the ability to simply not see it if they prefer) that can only be good for the site, can't it?

I think this is not a bad idea but I can see some problems. 1) It gives me a lot of power. 2) This is the kind of thing that you would need to get Yak to sign off on probably and I don't know that he wants to get into this kind of business. 3) It exposes Yak to liability for leaks depending on the type of 'rumor' 4) you have to convince the rumor monger that it is in their best interest to come here, even with their own thread.

Maybe something to bring up in Nuts and Bolts.

Oh and calling UM Ultramorons is analogous to the US army calling the Marines "Jarheads" or paratroopers "dirt darts", clerks "chairborne rangers". Calling other branches or career fields derogatory names is a time honored tradition in likely every military in history and promotes unit pride and competitiveness.

Any of the other founding Legion chapters should have gotten the first suppliment before Ultramorons, since Codex Space Marine is Codex Ultramarine for all intents and purposes since the UM follow the codex to the letter. A suppliment of marines should have additional rules and units for chapters that are close but not exactly codex. I would go so far as to say most of the chapters presented in the codex should be out and lesser known chapters like the Black Dragons, Fire Hawks, Rainbow Warriors(snicker) and Marine Malevolent should have been the ones presented with a suppliment with their own chapter tactics.

1) Well, you know what great power comes with don't you?
2) Fair point
3) I can't see how Yak would be liable if the info is still being posted by users of a public forum? Sure, if something crosses some sort of line, there may be some sort of takedown notice, and that may be unwanted hassle, but I can't see it going further than that.
4) Yes, perhaps we need some sort of "cute and fluffy" delegate to send out into cyberspace and persuade them (not volunteering!)

I'll repost this in N+B as well, see what the feedback is.
