hey guys! im thinking of buying the lizardmen Carnosaur model and im wondering is it possible to magnetize it all so i can:

have Kroq-gar model to the beast
to have him on foot? as a Hero/Lord (as im assuming you have seperate legs)
have the skint rider
and have the skink on foot?

could i add magnets to the beast and the Saraus/Skink to make him as usable as possible?

i love the model and i think all the pieces you get with it are too good to go to waste!

thanks for any advice

The hardest thing to magnetize would be the head. The Trog and Carnie don't have even remotely the same head, and the Carnosaur actually has to have additional neck added.

The Trog has the "reins" as well that I don't think the Carnosaur has.

The Skink Oracle does not have a saddle or anything, just stands on the Trog.

Trog and Carnosaur do not have the same spine pieces all the way from head to tip of the tail.

Would it be possible? Maybe. But not just with magnets. You would need metal strips to put inside the body to connect magnets to. Most of the connection points aren't big enough for the size of magnet needed to hold it together.

Sorry for the bad news. I thought of doing the same thing, but determined it would be FAR too much work to be worth it.

Kroq-Gar and other Saurus choices would be very easy to do. They all share the same body and most of their arms. Heads would be the hardest, as there are multiple head crests that must be attached to the head. If you didn't mind all of the heads looking the same it wouldn't be an issue.

Actually both heads are completely separate from the shoulders up, so it wouldn't be impossible to magnetise them.
I personally thing the spine would be the hardest part to make easily swapable.

thanks guys! though i think i should of been more specific when asking the question. im not really bothered about the other monster for magnetizing the heads. i infact dislike the Troglodon model. i was just wondering if it could be possible to magnetize the saddle to allow it to be removed to place just the skink on top?
ive not seen the model in person yet, just on the GW website and theyve not got one on display in my local GW store which is a tad frustrating.
im just being greedy wit trying to avoid over spending on the models.

was also just curious what i could actually do with the whole thing.

so i couldnt magnetize the sarus rider to the saddle legs and the standing legs? (if that makes sense?) its a pit if not able as hes such a great character model to have him attached to one phase lol

thanks for the help though guys!

Well skinks can't ride carnosaurs so just go for the saurus, i magnetised mine with the riding legs attached since if you make the custom base right he looks like he's leaning forward in an aggressively.

id use the Carnosaur as a proxy for the Troglodon if i was able to magnetize the skink to the mount

In that case you could conceivably just modify the skinks leg assembly to fit on the throne as well.
Doesn't seem too hard now that i've looked at it up close.
