So I was prowling around YouTube and found a video describing the October OP event prize.

As most of you know the LE ship is a Klingon B’Rel class bird of prey and the Ch’Tang being the named version. In the video from “thatterigirl” we see a screen shot of the Ch’Tang’s ship card.

The named ship has:
4- Attacks
1-evade
3-hull
3-shields

Ship ability (this is not an action) if you attack while cloaked you can re-roll any number of your attack dice once (free target lock while cloaked, awesome!!)

Action bar: evade, target lock, cloak, sensor echo.
One tech, two weapons, and one crew upgrade.

For a total of 22 Points

Teri also showed us a new a klingon crew upgrade, Synon. 5 pts with the ability: When performing a sensor echo, you may use the 1, 2, or 3 templates

The biggest reason to try and get this ship is the captain. You get with this a level 9 Martok who is 6 pts. His ability: Action target all friendly ships within range 1 of your ship whose captains have a lower skill than martok. The target ships gain +1 attack die and may reroll 1of their attack dice this round

WOW that is really cool, I can see this Martok being used a lot. Combine him with Gowron and that is one heavy hitting klingon fleet. \

So this is looking like an awesome ship and now we have an idea of what we are getting with the bird of prey. Personally I think it should have 1 more agility and 1 less shield, but that is me. It is still a very cool ship and I hope to get one.

For everyone the participation prize is 2 red shirt federation crew upgrade cards. These are generic so you can have more than one. For 4 pts you can discard the red shirt to cancel one opponents attack die of your choice. So this means you can cancel the elite attack die if you want.

There are also command tokens for a resource upgrade where you can pick 5 tokens reveal them throughout the game for extra rerolls or actions, nice.

So after looking on memory-alpha I saw that the Koraga that comes out in December is a K'Vort class bird of prey, where as the LE Ch'Tang is a B'Rel class. I wonder if the stats will be different or if the classes will just be used to differentiate between the LE and standard ship.

I thought the Bird of Prey would be a bit less powerful given the size of the thing (12 crew members etc.,).
