I know that more than a handful of people have looked into buying the Dreamforge Leviathan for a stand-in Warhound Titan.
What are you doing for weapons for it? I presume everyone is going for two turbo-destructors. The assault cannons it comes with strike me as fairly nice for vulcan mega-bolters, but lack of other weapon options at that large of a scale leave me scratching my head.
Considering buying some of the FW arms just for the guns, but I thought I'd see what everyone else thought.

The lack of weapons is what keeps me from getting one. They are great models. Does anyone know if a fw weapon will work on one?

The Warhound arms probably won't work. The Leviathan is considerably smaller than a Warhound, it's more of a Riptide/Wraithknight equivalent if you really need to proxy it as something in 40k.

They have like 6 different arms for the thing, most which match a warhound weapon... sure you're looking in the right places?

The Leviathan is an impressive model, but closer in scale to a Knight than a Warhound Titan.

The 28mm leviathan is ~1-2cm shorter than a warhound iirc. If you mount it on a small amount of rubble, it will be the same height. There is a 15mm scale leviathan too. You sure these don't look like good stand ins for warhound weapons?

Firstly, the Leviathan is only maybe a cm or two shorter than the Warhound. (Depending on posing)
Secondly the new weapon arms from the kickstarter are in shipment as we are typing. And there is basically an equivalent Leviathan weapon for every Warhound weapon.

The Dreamforge Vulkcan Cannon's barrels are too large to be a Vulcan mega-bolter, it is closer in size and scale to a Reaver's Gatling Blaster and a Warhound's reactors are too small to take that weapon.
The actual model is a suitable replacement for a Warhound, just state its a different pattern from another Forge World rather than Mars.
Is the smaller one out yet? I'd like a few to counts as Knight Titans for my Titan Legion.

It's not just the height that matters, it's how bulky the model is. The Warhound is just a bigger model overall, and IMO its guns would look too big on a Leviathan.

I guessed you missed the pictures and posts stating that there are more weapon arms coming for the Leviathan?
I never said putting Warhound weapons on a Leviathan was a good idea. Yes it would look silly.

Just use it as a Reaver, the weapons better match a battle titan than a scout. For the carapace weapon, either retro-fit a hard point, or do what I do and call it a "Psi-Titan" with a "Sanctum Sanctorium" dome on its back allowing you to roll for a random carapace weapon at the start of the game just like a psyker rolls for powers. Either way, you'll be able to use the melee option without losing a ranged weapon, something you cannot do with a Warhound.

...what? Its already way too damned small to use as a warhound titan (yes its *ONLY* about an inch shorter than a warhound, but its also far less bulky and just far narrower in general, you really *CAN'T* compare the two), and you want to use it as a reaver titan? Its like... half the height and 1/3rd the size...

Pretty sure you *CAN* compare them. Like *THIS*. In doing so, everyone in my area has decided they're a great replacement for warhounds for a variety of reasons. The difference in height is negligible and the warhounds elongated top section is irrelevant to gameplay, you can just go off the leviathans arm length which isn't much shorter if that is necessary for some reason. You could even pose the leviathan to be longer than the warhound if you wanted to thanks to it's much more flexible nature.

There's like a dozen weapons coming out in a few weeks, railguns, cannons, chainsaws, hands, ect.

Still far less of a targetting profile than a Warhound is for true line of sight work(25% for cover is based on hull showing). To allow it in play without it being a definitive advantage would require the person playing the Leviathan to pretty much understand that the model should be much bulkier(not taller..bulkier in hull showing) and allow people a good bit of latitude when determining cover.
That aside, I'd allow it in any Apoc game I played as long as the player understood that idea.

I think its pretty fair to say that unless you are playing cities of death there's nothing tall enough to give a titan cover anyway

well ..Not sure about that we have plenty of tall terrain around these parts..however 25% of hull coverage does not block LOS it just allows a minor cover save which for most of us means nothing as the weapons one would target a Warhound with are weapons, that for the most part, Ignore cover anyway ..

You see "negligible difference" I see a sumo wrestler standing next to a horse jockey. The Leviathan is more comparable to a Wraithknight than it is to a titan.

Not sure if I agree with going that far.
Prometheus Forge Knight vs Wraithknight
So, the Prometheus is about the same size as the Wraithknight, agreed?
Prometheus Forge Knight vs Leviathan:
Not really so close.

I was judging based on left foot to right shoulder, not right foot to right shoulder.
Here's a side picture of what's supposed to be the same one painted, according to the site I'm getting these from.
Looks about as upright as you can get, all things considered.
I'm looking for a better, direct comparison between the WK and the Leviathan, but I'm not seeing much.
