Hi all

A local club I go to has started doing a Tale of Gamers style event with the eventual goal of building and painting a 1500pt 40K army over 5 months.

Wanting a break from my red Eldar army, I decided to enter with Iron Warriors CSM.

Here are the first few entries in my army:

Sorceror Jubal Vask - Level 3 Slaanesh Sorceror

Squad Abraxes - 10 CSM with 2 x plasma guns, Champion with plasma pistol, power sword

The Scions of Devastation - 3 Obliterators with Mark of Nurgle and Veterans of the Long War

For those who are wondering, the Obliterators are actually Hi Tech Miniatures Terrorizers and all the bases are Battlefield Debris bases from Ebay.

Unfortunately, I only have a crappy camera and no light box (this is a box lid) so sorry for the quality of the photos (although that might make the paint job look better!)!

Good start, really need to put some hazard markings on each model to have them fitting to an iron warrior scheme. Check mine out of your interested

Nice models so far, but like^ said they need hazard stripes to make them more recognisable.

You carry the Emperor's will as your torch, with it destroy the shadows.

Thanks for the input.

I thought about the hazard stripes, but I am worried I will mess it up and make them look derpy.

My next CSM squad will be close combat, so I will perhaps give the hazard stripes a go on their chainswords.

Either that or come up with some fluff reason for why my guys don't have them! :-)

Hazard stripes are quite easy to do, no lie. Paint the area the darkest shade of yellow you have. Then use a marker pen to scribe lines in on a 45 degree angle, once this is done, paint the black in, then highlight the yellow with to lighter shades. Done. If you need an advice from another iron warrior player PM me

Check out my p&m thread. Building the bloodborn . There's plenty of custom builds as well as standard infantry. All of it iron warrior themed. Full build recipes for the custom stuff available on request.
