Hey all,
My first post on the site. I stopped painting collecting and generally doing things from my childhood about 4 years ago. Long story short met my partner, she tells I should collect and paint again then tells me she will start as well (here i was thinking of ways to bring her into the fold too). Now I know my painting is not the best out there but compared to my original models they are a big improvement. Although any advice criticism etc is always welcome
I got a few old models out of storage and tested a few color schemes, ultramarines and imperial fists but did not want to do a "
gw codex army" so i started to move on to picking colors i enjoyed doing. After a while (i am now slightly regretting it
lol) i settled on a half red half purple scheme with a bit on bone color thrown to provide a break. My fluff I have slowly written up says that my chapter is actually a loyalist decedent form the emperors children named the Praxil Palatines (hence the purple, with red signifying the blood of their loyalist brethren slaughtered on istavann III,whichever spelling works

). This helped with my chapter symbol which is basically pre heresy
EC but with the talon removed (if the inquisition found a loyalist chapter running around with the
EC legion badge that chapter would disappear faster than you can say Exterminatus
lol). Now my free hand abilities have not survived the 4 year non painting spree and after 2 attempts i gave up and ordered 50
EC mk III shoulder pads along with some brass etch and rhino doors so the right shoulder pads will be replaced as soon as i get them (along with my
EC contemptor

).
Below is a selection of what i have completed thus far including 2 tactical squads and 1 Captain, currently working on another tactical squad, 5 men assault squad, 1 rhino, 1 whirlwind and 1 dreadnaught. I am also painting up a librarian even though he wont be part of the force at all since
EC did not use librarians but i had a spare so decided to paint him anyway
lol. I have yet to base any of the models properly and have the models pinned to the bases they are on. As I said earlier any criticism or things which could improve the models along with random ideas are always appreciated.
I apologies for the bad photos my camera has decided to worship nurgle and slowly started to breakdown
lol
