Simply put;
What is the interaction of Void Shields against things like Tank Hunters, haywire and gauss ?
I know that attacking buildings are solved like vehicles but void shields is not a building as far as i can see. I can certainly see the reason to treat them as buildings but can't see the actual rules to do this and would be glad if someone directed me to the right page of BRB or Stronghold Assault.

It is a good question, if any Special Rule which trigger against vehicles will trigger against the Void Shield Projection itself? While some I come to the same conclusion you do Pizzaguardian: The Void Shield Projection is a Special Rule, it is not a vehicle model and has no rules informing us to treat it as a vehicle model. Just because it is a Special Rule attached to a building, which does have rules informing us to treat them as Vehicles, doesn't change anything because the building it not being targeted. This would, in my option, prevent any Special Rule with a trigger 'against vehicles' from being evoked against the shields themselves. Just one more unusual circumstance that stems from 'attacking a special rule directly....' Though a follow up question: What if the original target is a vehicle or the shield generator itself, would the 'Tank Hunter' Special Rule still be linked to the Shots fired? Never-mind, they would still be linked but you still encounter the problem with 'against vehicles' within the rule itself.

Void shields, in all cases, Are simple AV12 that you roll AP against, they are in no way vehicles.
Void shields on a vehicle or directly protecting a Building are also not effected by special rules that have effects on Vehicles; the hits go to the void shield, not the vehicle

Except the AP rules only reference hitting and penetrating vehicles. By your logic, there are no rules for rolling AP on void shields.

If you need your hand held on how to roll against an AV; you shouldn't be playing this game.
You have an AV that is not treated like a vehicle and on any Glance or Pen goes away; We know the resolution for damaging AV is to roll a D6 and add it to the S of the weapon. That is all we need.

I would also agree with Kommissar Kel due to how the Rule transfers the attack. RaW=No
But i would even say RaI= No: If you are a tank hunter, i doubt you would be trained as a Shield/ Titan hunter :p

I agree that RAW, neither one works. I can even agree that RAI, Tank Hunters shouldn't work.
But it feels fishy to not have Haywire grenades work on Void Shields. Kind of seems like their milieu. To my mind, anyway, RAI Haywire grenades should work normally against a Void Shield.

Haywire does work, it has an effect instead of rolling AP; no reference to vehicles. Gauss also works because it has an effect on any AP rolls and again no reference to vehicles.

Gauss weapons indeed say 'any armor penetration roll,' so it would still work.

Basically case by case, If it references Vehicles it has no effect, if it Modifies or replaces penetration rolls without referencing vehicles it fully effects.

Nobody was saying that. You're just very inconsistent with your strict interpretation. Armor penetration rules say they specifically only apply to vehicles. Yet for Haywire, you choose to ignore that. We know that rolling AP for vehicles is as you say. That's the only place we find these rules and they only reference vehicles. It must be treated like a vehicle on some level otherwise the rules fall apart. Strict RAW doesn't work.
Haywire should work on void shields before Armorbane.

HIWPI - Gauss and Haywire should work, just makes sense that way.
I think interpretation of the rules as Gauss being the only affect that works out of those already listed(glad they change Wraithguard to being STR 10!) is correct though, RAW....so long as it being 'treated as AV 12' doesn't automatically thorugh leap of logic turn it into a vehicle to work at all. At work, so no book to reference the basic rules.
