Few days ago I posted my Scratch Built Grav Tank for my Die Zuruck Army. Now I wanted to show off my Kampfvanzug, or Battlesuits.
These are old RAFM 1/87 scale Heavy Gears with various weapon conversions.
The Guardsman in front is for scale comparison.
They are no completed yet I have some greenstuff work and some painting touch ups to do.
Had a hard time finding a good color scheme. But in the end I think they turned out alright.

I would have no issues with them.

Those are awesome but I would put them on the correct size base, but besides that I would have no problem.

40mm round is the standard size for a Crisis Suit.

Is that a 40mm?

The ones at the back look like 40mm. They look larger than the one in front which is closer to the camera.
The hexagonal one I am not sure about. GW used to make hexagonal 25mm bases and you can still get them from various other companies. The 25mm was between the parallel sides, so the corners stick out a bit more and it's physically a bit larger than a round base.

I just bought two more 40mm bases that I will be using for two of the models. I was getting by with the hex bases but the non uniformity is bothering me. I also have to sand the other two bases down on the front.
I made mounting systems for the weapons on the arms with greenstuff, once it hardened I attached with lock-tite superglue.

I think the actual Crisis suits look absolutely comical, like blocky robotic chickens, so I'd definitely prefer your models.

Thank You, the models actually do have jet packs on them. Just cannot be seen in the picture. The Original Heavy Gear models had a big v twin powerpacks, I flipped it over and put some SM backpack vents on the back.

Good use of nice looking models. I could never quite get into Heavy Gear, though I played the PC game quite enthusiastically back in the day.

I have used them as IG Sentinals in the past, and I think they would be great for Crissis Suits. The MechWarrior ClickyMechs also make good Crisses Suits and Broadsides.

These are absolutely brilliant, I really wish I had known about these before I spent the expensive and lengthy process of converting the GW ones to look half decent.
The paint scheme is really nice too, totally digging the forest camo on them.

I do t think I would be keen on them as Centurions. They just don't seem to fit the SM aesthetic, for me it's all about if the model fits the army.

It is Kampfanzug without a V.
And what do you intend with the expression: "Die Zuruck Army"? Rearguard? That would be "Nachhut" in German:

I am so glad to talk to someone from Germany,I have a question. I really wanted the Army to be called "The Returned" Im not sure how that translates into German correctly. The Idea behind the Army is a Lost Human colony consisting of Germanic-Finnish and Nordic colonist that left "Jermani" from war torn Terra. Some Sensei found the pocket Empire in the Jericho reach and convinced them to liberate mankind from the corrupt Imperium. therefore they are called "The Returned". Their may be a better term in German to convey this. But I dont know what it is.

Wow this is so cool. That mecha is awesome and it really fits in with those battle suits style wise. Love the camoscheme, im curios what colors did you use?
The infantry are equally cool. I would use this army for more than just 40k too, it could work for just about any sci fi game.

Thank you Jedi, the colors are Tamiya Dark Yellow, Dark Green, and Flat brown. The Grey is Citadel Codex Grey.
