This comes in at 1845. The plan here is to use Elam with the vanguard vets to deepstrike using his special firefall rule (Heavy 1, STR 5, Barrage, Large Blast (5") which lets me place the marker anywhere I want, it scatters the full amount if it does and I can put him and the vanguard vets anywhere within 6'' of the template after the attack does it's thing. Only works if he is my warlord so obviously he is. Sternguard in drop pods with combi-flamers to take advantage of the +1str to my flamers, My chapter master joins the assault marines and try to create some shenanigans. Scouts will be in the back hugging any objectives and doing what scouts do with snipers. Tacticals will also do what they can in the razorbacks, however I mainly got them to deal with any armor. Storm Talon is to go right in with my Assault Marines and also create some havoc. I haven't been able to try any of this out yet but I am excited for it. I feel like while it's not very competitive at all it should be a blast to play around with. I've always loved jetpacks but didn't quite care for BA.

So what do you all think? Also since My Vanguard Vets and Assault count as scoring units when using Fire Hawk chapter tactics I could use their mobility to either claim and contest objectives. Just a shame vanguard vets aren't allowed flamers :(

I d put the assult marines in a pod, take off all the storm shields on the vanguard vets and give them power lances, then on th and ss, so they all get the extra attack. Use the points to maybe add more vv.

d'oh! also forgot to say that all Hammer of Wrath attacks made with jump packs also get +1 str. I gave the vets shields to make them tanky, I was also thinking maybe just to add the extra 5 marines or maybe even drop the 2nd sternguard for some deepstriking termies with a heavy flamer?

Or how about dropping a sternguard and adding in some Legion of the Damned to make this really fluffy? I'd be willing to even drop the talon to add them in. Thoughts?
