Im painting up some current models for 1st edition space hulk. Ive got these neat 'sulaco' bases from Fenris games, any thoughts on how to paint them to best match the 1st edition tiles? I tried a simple commando khaki with a dirty nuln oil wash, just dont look right. Ive added a pic of a tile piece and a pic of the bases thats pretty close to the look id like if a bit too metallic. Any thoughts appreciated

I used 25mm square bases on my terminators and a combination of flyscreen wire and boltgun metal/devlan mud (it took me a looong time to paint the bases up).

It's not like I was using my terminators for 40k anymore anyway, so the rebasing wasn't going to be an issue (it also makes it easier to determine model 90* turns and stuff).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...
