Privateer Weekend is proud to be working with Diecon again in 2014 to bring you all our 7th Privateer Weekend! Our event will be on June 20th through June 22nd at the Collinsville Convention Center (St Louis) where we’ve been the previous six years). Our team is working to plan a volley of events that include multiple Steamrollers as well as an official 2014 Warmachine Weekend Qualifier Event!

Note: This year the cost for Privateer Weekend has changed. In addition to the Convention registration, a $10 entry fee is required for entry to Privateer Weekend This fee will give access to all Privateer Weekend events. Previously this charge was only for Hardcore. All other events are covered in the cost of the Diecon Registration. You can register and pay for both Diecon and Privateer weekend by choosing the "Privateer Weekend" registration option at http://diecon.com/D14/index.php/pre-reg

Players who pre-register for Privateer Weekend will be given early access to the venue in order to set up armies and sign up for Privateer Weekend Events. In addition, Players who pre-register will receive a custom Privateer Weekend Dog Tag with their name/forum name. There will be a separate registration line dedicated solely to Privateer Weekend pre-registrations. Note that this does NOT confer early access to vendors and is solely for the purposes of sign-up and set-up for Privateer Weekend Events on Friday, June 20.

Friday, June 20th

1:30pm: 35 Point Steamroller (Top 5 Qualify for Sunday's Masters Event)
- No Variants (Second list optional, no Divide and Conquer, Character Restrictions, 7 minute turns + 5 minute extension)

2:00pm: 35 Point Commander's Crucible (Top 5 Qualify for Sunday's Masters Event)
- Commander's Crucible variant: This variant is new to Steamroller 2014 '

- The number of rounds for this event will be announced once we cut off entry. We recommend players prepare 5 battlegroup lists
- No other Variants (Character Restrictions, 7 minute turns + 5 minute extension)

7:00pm: 20 Point Mangled Metal/Tooth and Claw Hardcore
- Mangled Metal/Tooth and Claw: Warlocks/Warcasters and Warjacks/Warbeasts only
- Mangled Metal/Tooth and Claw Victory Conditions: Destroy all Warjacks/Warbeasts to win
- No other Variants (One List, One Scenario, Hardcore Painting Required, 3 Minute Turns, No Extension, 30 min rounds)


Saturday, June 21st

9:30am: 50 Point Hardcore (Top 6 Qualify for Sunday's Masters Event)
- A Diecon favorite - No Variants (One List, One Scenario, Hardcore Painting Required, 7 Minute Turns, No Extension)

12:00pm: 50 Point Theme Force Steamroller
- Theme Forces: Tier 3 Required - All lists must be at minimum Tier 3
- Characters Unrestricted (Models and units with FA C can be included in more than one list)
- No other Variants (Second list optional, no Divide and Conquer, 7 minute turns + 5 minute extension)

5:30pm: Thunderdome
- Four factions enter, one faction leaves! The rules for this event can be found HERE


Sunday, June 22nd

9:30am: 50 Point Masters
- Players qualify from the preceding events: Top 5 from each of the Friday Steamrollers (35p Baseline and 35p Commander's Crucible) and Top 6 from the Saturday Hardcore. In the case that a player qualifies multiple times the next highest place player will qualify.
- No Variants (3 lists required, Each list must be played at least once, Character Restrictions, 60 minute Deathclock)

10:30am: De-Escalation Event
- Special Variant: shrinking points. The first round is at 50 points, the second at 35, and all subsequent rounds are at 20 points.
- Each list must be composed solely of models used in the previous list


All Weekend
Steamroller Scrambles
- 8-player Steamrollers that launch as soon as they fill. Great for newer and veteran players alike.

Free Play
- Free play will earn chances to win prizes and/or raffle tickets.

I know, right? Sadly we locked in our schedule before we knew that Spell Draft was going to be a thing, so for now we'll have to settle for some Commander's Crucible and De-Escalation action for that "non-standard format" feel.

Who knows, we just might run Spell Draft as one of our Scramblers for 8 lucky people... guess you'll just have to sign up and come on down to find out

As a note to everyone, DieCon registration will close Sunday, June 15th! That is your last chance to get your name on a Dog Tag, so if you're planning on coming, be sure to pre-register!

Just a reminder, pre-registered players will be given early access to the convention hall on Friday to set up!
