So I picked up a small sisters army and have been testing some ideas for a paint job. I'm not much of a painter but would like a nice table quality paint job on them. I want to make the normal sisters look a bit different from the celestine squad's. I might even paint the seraphim in a different combo. I also think I will be installing some space marine packs on some of them.(some are missing and I have a ton of marine bit's) I went with a normal black for the sisters armor and will be doing the others in the copper. I have a good sized Blood angel army that I will display them with and this will make them kinda match. I didn't do a vary good job of striping off the old paint and some of the detail was lost. I didn't know if I would like this and end up having to strip them back down. I have the others soaking and should be much cleaner. Some look to have about 10 different paint jobs on them. I'm not totally sold on the off white robe. I might try one with the copper armor and red robes. What do you guys think of this idea?

Tip: if you're planning on using SM backpacks, try to give only special the larger backpacks, while the normal sisters have regular backpacks.
I was missing a few backpacks too, so I gave all my dominions the SM backbacks. Looks a lot more consistent than alternating the normal and bigger backpacks.

The left model seems to be closer to the classical paint job, but personally I like the right paint scheme better. I would try to brighten up the cloth a little more to get some better contrast with the armor.

@Brother Michael, I think your right about the marine back packs. I only need to sub about 10 of them so I will keep them to one squad.
@Freytag93, I was going to try the copper with red cloth but I think your right about a lighter color as a contrast. I will try and work all the way out to a white final highlight.

Can I pick a mix of both, I think the right armour with the red cloaks would look really good.

I'd say the right scheme. It's pretty nice.
