actually the Word Bearers when the Emperor found out about Lorgar and his Legions worshiping he Sent Vulkan and the Salamanders to burn down the main Hive City on Colchis (Homeworld) and made Lorgar and his Legion watch while they did it....

I’ve only read one or two of the new HH books, but I thought that the Ultramarines were the ones sent to censure the Word Bearers? Or was that a separate event? I know that if you were going to pick a classic enemy of the WB, odds are you are going to go for us boys in blue, not Vulkan’s boys.

I still voted for the Word Bearers. They have a lot of potential, and you don’t see a lot of them on the table.

Your right I read it a couple of days ago so I forgot who it was talking about I usually skip over everything Ultramarine.

OH in other news I just placed an Order for 2 sets of the new Pyroclasts sets and the new Iron Hands Iron Father....for use as a Techmarine easy conversion work on that model and in case you dont know what Im talking about heres some pics

I think Konrad Kurze and the night lords are the main guys they tangled with on Istavan. Vulkan was even captured and tortured by his psycho brother. I just picked up Vulkan lives, maybe I'll be joining you with the prehersey lizard boys. As for your brothers army, what's his play style? It would be stupid to paint up a killer army for him just to have him be a close combat iron warrior, or a tactically oriented world eater

Oh and as an Iron Hand, I always look on the Salamanders fondly, Forge Brothers and all that artisan stuff is great.

We both HATE the Night Lords just because of their fluff and the whole emo look they have going as for Play style he doesn't have one its his first army He says he doesnt care for the CC aspect because "Its the year 40,000 right? they have guns that can blow up planets and tanks the size of houses.....why do they still fight hand to hand thats stupid"

so based on that id say hes going to be shooty ....... im giving the poll another week until I shut it down and ask him his FINAL decision

Built my Sicarian Battle Tank "Argos".........THIS KIT MADE ME RAGE!!!!! it was a little difficult getting the two side tracks mounted upon the hull all I have to say is thank God for the Dremel tool!! lol but its not quite finished waiting to get in the Eteched Brass from FW to put some more iconography on there...one of the Autocannons was at like a 90 degree angle so that required some work but overall I like who it coming along

Looking good, it's nice to see one of the 'new' heresy armies getting some screen time. One thing I would be a little careful about is how much iconography you put on your models. Looking at a lot of the artwork and other peoples miniatures the 30k is less over the top so to speak with the alignment coming from shoulder pad details etc. Either way looking good

yeah its just i payed so much for these things i want them to stand out abit the only thing im going to add to the Sicarian is the Salamander icon on either side for designation and on the marines they may have a scale here and there or teeth hanging off thier bolters the Sgt's may have the Salamanders head that he killed as a recruit on his powerpack but nothing too outlandish

Have you seen this....He'stan - Could almost be Pre-heresy as the Armour is Bespoke - A nice Praetor Conversion with a Volkite Charger or Flame weapon. Keep the shield for another PYRE Guard model.

so doing some paint testing to see what color would look best for the Salamanders scheme, I tried for the one in the current 6th ed Space Marine book, I did NOT do detailing because I just want the basic colors down first and this is what I have come up with.....pretty much ALL of my Legionaires will be in the Mk IV armor

Yeah i can post a mini review for ya itl be on here prob my next post with pics and all im looking at him right know and hes amazing conversion work seems like its going to be easy but FW has defintaley stepped up it casting quality little to almost no flash on anything i got today and mold lines are very hard to pick out

While the castellax and thallax might be cool looking, I think you should focus more on units that are core to your army, so voted for the dreads.
