Yo,

I have just started to paint my Iron Hands, gearing up for some sort of future Istvaan mega battle I have not quite planned yet.

At this stage, I have just airbrushed them all with Alclad lacquer metallics (gunmetal mixed with chrome, then a light chrome zenith spray) and given them a going over in spot camouflage style with Minitaire ghost tint Oil Discharge, as I noticed that they sort of had a wide patchy burnt metal look on the Forge World studio photos of their Iron Hands tanks. Also did the Glaive weapons with Minitaire ghost tints. Everything looks fairly super shiny now, but it will blend bck to normal looking by the end of proceedings

There will be a lot to do to make them pop- aside from lining a lot of things in sivler, there are a lot of black and white areas and clan symbols to paint in (I have not yet picked a clan). There will probably be a lot of edge highlighting and inking needed to make them pop on the table, then they will get an airbrushed sand dust pass along the lower hull. I will probably work on them unit at a time. The only conversion I have done so far is the Iron Lord, improbably popping out of the hatch of the fellblade, which has some servo arms made from some turret and weapon spare bits, and some cardboard.
I still have a bunch of other models to collect, so it may take a few months to finish.
