Just ordered myself a couple of these yesterday. The castings look crisp and they have a pillar built into each one. Looks like they make great character bases for those of us who are lazy and hate making bases.

Limited to 30 castings so far to see if successful and what people want. 25mm, 40 and 60mm and then that huge ass knight bases. Several of them are multi-part, for example the 60mm is made up of 5 pieces.

Anyhoo -usual disclaimerfor Kroot: tried the search function it return zip for Dragon Forge.

Edit:

Damn it, just gave in an order some of these!

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

They make great bases , I bought a ton of them a few years ago and they were awesome. Very nice casts, little to no mould lines/flash, which quickly came off without damaging the model. What I liked most about them was they have texture yet still plenty of space to mount the figure to the bases without being in really strange positions. Also the basic base sets come with 10 different looks each so you don't wind up with the "hey they all have a _________ on their base", which is especially good for the hoard armies.

I used their bases for my Dark Angels (link in my sig) and I was really impressed with them. They make a great product. Nice balance of detail and playability with the bases too.

My 2nd order of bases has arrived and I will do photo's to so what quality you are receiving. Without any hyperbole, these are literally (and I do mean that word) the best castings I have ever seen in 20+ years of hobbying. A quick wash, a quick rub with a knife in one or two areas and they are prepared. I have never seen casting this good.

The photos are the website are great but dont hold a candle to the real thing in your hand.

Dragon Forge is good. fullheadofhair isn't really lying about the casting, either.

I've got over 100 of their bases, all different sizes and shapes, no problems with any of them. Nice solid and have enough girth to them to pin models to and to keep them from falling over. The other nice thing is there's plenty of space to mount your figures to it unlike the KS we just saw for another company where it was difficult on some bases to set your models up.

I noticed you have a base with a bullet. Are you up for making old western-style bullet tokens for Doomtown Reloaded?

http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1251527/poor-ergonomics

If you could have a picture of the bases with a miniature or something to give a sense of scale, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I absolutely love the Dragon Forge bases; use them for all my minis. Waiting anxiously for this Kickstarter (when man, when?!), and seeing those Ancient Ruin 30mm bevelled bases just made me go squeee! (I've been waiting for those.)
