So, a little more progress. Managed to get the red and most of the gold basecoated. Took aaaages.

Looking great so far. I will be watching this with interest.

This is probably best painted face I have ever seen. I really mean that, the expression, colors fantastic.

Looking excellent so far; if I had a tenth of the skill shown here I think I might look forward to painting my own minis.

Hello guys and girls. As promised some more WIP shots. I.ve finished the basecoats and started on the shading and highlighting, and done a couple of details, such as the eyes dotted about his armour, and the wolf pelt. What do you reckon?

Fantastic, the figure is already starting to 'pop'. It must have taken ages to work though that amount of detail....so many bobbles....

Thanks Brother I've done a little bit more work on him. In an attempt to pay homage to Mr. McVey's Horus, which was featured in the first ever issue of WD I bought (183, I think), on his Emperor and Horus diorama, and has served as inspiration ever since, I attempted to recreate the pattern he used on his armour on my lightning claw. Sorry about the picture quality, was very tricky to get a decent shot due to the angles involved... Anyhoo, enough prattling, here's some piccies
