Subject: Eldar Craftworld Colors - a quick question

Hi all,
I have been tossing around a different paint scheme for my Eldar and I came across one when I was experimenting. I admit I am not as familiar with all their fluff just yet, so I thought I would ask here. Before I decide to go forward with it, I am curious if it is a current or past craftworld.
The image is too big, but think Biel Tan with orange instead of green.
If this is the wrong place for this, please let me know. I debated where to put this for like 15 minutes.

Painting and modeling would have been a good bet.
I think that if you upload an image to the dakka gallery, it will automatically resize it for you.

Here is the pic I mentioned. Just replace the green with orange.

Yme-loc would be my bet, although it's light grey instead of white.

I too thought it was similar, but enough to be different. Since I was doing pure white as the base, I was thinking that it would be a unique one that did not already belong to a particular craftworld.

Thought I would give this a bump. Do you all think the orange replacement would look cool on Eldar?

If the rest of the model is mostly white, grey, and black then any other colour could work so orange should be no problem (and a darker one would contrast nicely with the white). My tip would be (if you want to go the white plus orange route) to change the parts that are orange a bit. You could for example paint the suit part of the armour white and the plate parts (plus helmet) orange with some other parts (weapons/equpment) in dark grey/black. That way you wouldn't have the whole model be nearly one colour alone. Also if you use a very light grey instead of pure white for the suit parts you could skip most of the shading because the visible parts of the suit under the plates can be really small at times and too much shading would just add unneeded texture.
Don't let the official version of a colour scheme reduce your options. Orange and white should look good and it shouldn't matter if it looks too similar to an official scheme. Just tell the other player what rules (or special codex) you use before a game so there are no surprises because sometimes people's expectation is that one will use the codex corresponding to the colour scheme. You paint and play however you want (as long as the playing part is within the rules).
