I've got a Lascannon, Heavy Bolter, and 2 Missile Launchers, all old style, from the old Long Fangs box. I was thinking about using the Missile Launchers, I just don't know what to do with the other arm.

Playing Space Marine demo while GF was scrapbooking:
Me: I can turn it down, if the screams of dying orks are annoying you.
Her: That's ok, I love hearing the screams of dying orks.

My armies (W-D-L):
2,000 (about 1,200 painted and now I'm feeling the call of Russ) 3-4-3
2,000 (about 1,000 painted, WiP) 0-1

I'm running them with two missile launchers and three heavy bolters, and seeing as missile launchers are still shoulder mounted, only have a slight issue with the HB's. Not a huge deal as the HH artwork has old and new style heavy weapons and I think the old shoulder mounted HB's might look odd on current Marines.

Well got my first battle in with this army, against my friend's Black Templar army. Lost fairly soudly, though I was very happy with the Grey Hunters and Wolf Lord and Wolf Guard in Terminator armor. Not so impressed with the Blood Claws and Sky Claws in all honesty. Grey Hunters just did so much better than the Claws did, I'll be adding at least two more squads in instead of the max Blood Claw squad. Might keep the Sky Claws in, not sure yet. And my Long Fangs were killed before they could fire a shot thanks to Dawn of War and really poor placement by me. Here's a picture of the army I used:

Not too happy with the Rune or Wolf Priests either, might swap in a Wolf Guard Battle Leader or PH Bjorn (counts as Ragnar) not too sure yet. And here's a shot of the army in full glory, and zoomable in the gallery as was requested:

In the pipeline is my 2nd Grey Hunter Squad (about half done) and a Rhino ready for priming. The weather here is in the teens and snowing so I won't be getting much priming done anytime soon, so I'll either paint up the drop pods next or build my third Grey Hunter squad, we shall see.

I hate Space Wolves, but your paint scheme and conversions are a thing of beauty. Keep it up, I'm anxious to see those terminators painted.

Borrowed time and borrowed world and borrowed eyes with which to sorrow it.

Many thanks, might start on them before the Drop Pods, not sure on what's next yet.

It's a Maxmini Steam Knight helmet. Perfect PH helmets, and the same company I get the turbine jump packs from.

No, I bought them from Maxmini, they're resin and come in packs of 5 for around $7-$8 dollars plus shipping. I just had to make a squad when I saw them, even if Skyclaws aren't all that great in game.

The army looks absolutely great in person. It really makes me want to 'kick it up a notch' with my BT army when I get around to get some more figs.

As for that match...I kinda didn't want to tell you. But, when I got home, I realized I miscalculated my points for my army. I actually mistakenly paid ~160 for each of my 5 man Initiate squads rather than 80-90 as it should have been. So I was actually a couple hundred points smaller. :/

Then again, it was pretty much my giant Troop squad + Emperor's Champ that did all the work. That and your cursed dice (who like me better and want me to be their new owner)

So after quite a long delay, this thread is finally updated! After real life getting in the way, I've gotten a bit more painted, so now it's three fully painted Grey Hunter squads, one fully painted Blood Claw squad, two Rhinos and a Drop Pod. Next up will be Rhino #3 then I think the Wolf Lord and his buddies. Hopefully I can stay on track for a bit again. Anyway, here's the update.

Bit of an update, got the third Grey Hunter Rhino painted up and built Bjorn in his pre-dread days. Not too sure how I'm going to use him yet, as of right now he's tagging along with the Wolf Scouts to give them a bit more melee punch. He's just a Wolf Guard with a Wolf Claw and Melta Bombs.

very cool looking force. have you thought about the chapterhouse rhino conversion kits? they make the current style rhino look more like the RT rhino which is supposed to be the heresy era style.

Yeah, I've seen those but it's a little late for my Rhinos. On my Predator and Whirlwind I have old bits from the original Rhino kits to make them look older but I ran out before I got to these Rhinos. Thanks for the heads up though.

Jimmy, thanks for the compliments, I checked out your SM Chapter too, very nice work!

I've finished up the Wolf Lord and Wolf Guard Terminators. I noticed some wash spillage on the Wolf Lord's face, I'll go back and touch that up or maybe make it into some kind of tattoo on his face, not sure yet.

Slowly but surely making progress with the army. I've finished up the Predator, now all I have left is the Whirlwind, Scouts and Long Fangs. Think I'll work on the Scouts next, though I do have to prime the Wolf Guard who tags along with them, and that tends to be easier said than done with winter in full swing. Might start up the Long Fangs instead. Anyway, here's the Predator! And yes, I completely missed the shovel on the back of the turret. Have to go back and get that.
