Honestly a few weeks ago i was thinking a fun way to celebrate my 30th was have a 30% sale.

Thanks honestly unless you order on a Saturday or Sunday I ship everything pretty quickly.I don't like to sit on orders.

Hello fellow Dakkites, for over a year now we have been working on a miniatures game idea. We have made small announcements here and there but have not stuck to anything conclusive for one reason or another. Finally after almost 18 months of work we are proud to unveil the first, of what is to be many, renders for our Japanese Steampunk game "Katana, War of the Oni". We are now on track to launch the game in late 2013 early 2014 and we are very excited. Expect more to come as we are going to be holding several contests for both design as well as naming a few of these fellas. So I am please to unveil the finished digital sculpt of the first model for "Katana, War of the Oni". We have yet to name in and in fact will hold a contest to name this guy. Further more he is going to be on the cover of our first rulebook so whoever wins will get to see their contribution all the time to our game!

A little break down of how we are proceeding from here forward. We will have all of the digital sculpts completed by the time we launch the Kickstarter later this year. Our plan is to insure that once completed our backers will ONLY have to wait 4-5 months MAX to get there rewards. We are putting a lot of work into these in advance to insure we have a fast delivery to our customers. We will be launching with 4 basic factions with the 5th being and unlocked stretch goal.

For the next few models they will be more steampunk oriented as we have artwork for the Samurai's done as well as the Traitors, and later our Foreigners faction. The 5th faction for now is a secret but I guarantee you will love it.

We are still at minimum 5-6 months away but thank you for the compliment. My rule when I started this project 18 months ago was I wouldn't release it until it was actually ready for release and to be honest up until 5 months ago I wondered if we would ever but things came together. We have a writer from Shadow run working on the rules, we have top notch castors for the minis (the main bodies will be in resin the weapons in Pewter I wish I could afford plastic but I can't) and two outstanding concept artists who are taking this project very personally. We have 3 yes 3 digital sculptors ready for when we do actually launch the kickstarter because any stretch goals reached will need to be handled within days but this current render is from a great artist out of the U.K and we plan to use him as much as we can! I have personally been researching successful kickstarters and talking to customers at shows to see what they want to see and because of that I can safely say we will have a retailers level.
BTW the 4 initial factions are:
-Oni, the foot soldiers will be zombie Samurai and demons
-Fallen: These are samurai who have gone traitor and fallen under the spell of the Oni
-Samurai: Self explanatory
-Foreigners: You will see Europeans, Americas and more for these. This faction is amazing at ranged combat but not so good in close.
-5th Faction...is a secret all I can say is it will be awesome! This will be the unlocked faction during the KS.

Will def keep my eyes on this. Assuming Dream forge and Raging Heroes doesn't bankrupt me first.

Can you give us any teaser about the game? Is going to be a skirmish style or more of an RPG?

Skirmish style namely but we have plans for a stand alone RPG within a year of launch.
