Good to see the prices are dropping for the most part. Some of the mid-large sized vehicles in particular seemed too pricey for pretty basic kits.

One of the Wayland guys was on the GB&E podcast yesterday answering questions and speaking/hinting of upcoming plans for the game. Worth a listen for anyone interested.

Some good info in the podcast.

They know we want statcards, plan is to have faction decks for existing models, w new releases having cards packed in. At end of the year, they'd issue a new pack containing cards for all models released that year, as well as new cards reflecting any changes/errata on previously issued units.

New edition in the works, assembling playtesters for it shortly. They prefer tight rules w consistent keywords vs GW's more "sort it out yourself" style loose phrasing

New plastic kits for infantry, less likely for vehicles. They are looking at redoing some of the vehicle molds, as the big solid resin blocks on the chassis are expensive and could be better engineered to cut costs

Working on new distribution channels, not just through Warcradle/Wayland

Incidentally,, its worth checking out Waylands site, as they seem to have started lowering prices, which coupled with the pound being in the toilet, is a good time to get in. The hired hands 10 man boxes are only 20 Doctor Who bucks!

Good spot on the prices

However I will be asking my web guys to make sure Doctor Who Bucks is adopted as our new universal currency

My sanity has returned after listening to wayland. Lower prices, updated rules, actual real physical cards! They are listening to the community already.

The fact that they want to keep the vision, aesthetic, etc warms my heart too. Last thing I want is for it to turn into a 40k or star wars type game. They also spoke about getting advice from the creators about the storyline (wayland has the final say). This is good as the game loosely follows history and historical characters. I'm not sure how well Europeans are versed in old American history.

Awrsome, the game will live on and get better (return of cards -!!!!).

It's understandable from a business perspective why you don't want your newly-acquired IP to be associated with someone like Romeo, but it's important to understand that much of the drama surrounding the game was caused by Romeo (RomeoRageā„¢ episodes, astroturfing, hiding ownership, lawsuit, abusing critics, abusing competitors, etc). You knew this going in to the acquisiton, and simply stating your preference that the brand not be associated with the creator is a bit disingenuous.

Pardon me, but what is wrong with Romeo Filip? First time I have ever heard of him on Dakka dakka and in wargaming in general.

Let's NOT go down this path any farther, yes?

Random fact, but while discussing Wild West Exodus with family members I learned that my great grandmother and her kin met with members of the James- Younger gang.

I guess my great great grandfather was of less than reputable moral standards at times and therefore had dealings with some of the more colorful people of the time.

Made reading the novels quite a bit more interesting.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!
