Oi! Da Tankbustas is 'ere!

I've been an Ork player almost since the beginning of my Wargaming Career, starting in 2004. They were the first army that truly grabbed me, and what my first playable army was. Over the years, it's turned into a mighty Waaagh and like many of you my collection could be considered...unruly. I have lots of builds to finish and Boyz to paint, so 'Ere We Go!

I've had these for...many lots of years, unpainted. I got them for the last Ork release, when they used to sell discounted bundles of every new model plus the new codex. It showed up earlier than release, too. Ahh, those were the days .

I'm almost finished with these, I need to add a few highlights in places.

I got 2 boxes of Flash Gitz and a Morkanaught, which I've been slowly putting together. The Flash Git kit is great, there are loads of good bits in it. I put these together using the instructions, which were very thorough. One thing I really like, is these guys can stand on their own without a base. This way, I can build and paint the base separately without having to worry about the model wobbling around and falling over. The only real negative I found, was there are 2 ammo clips (for KMB style gun) that didn't fit flush together. I would have liked a couple extra targetters too I guess

Leftover bits!

Next up to do: KITBASH!!

Here is a Flash Git Torso, with a Nob body. These particular 2 fit flushly together.

Next up, a Flash Git body with a Nob torso. These didn't fit quite as flush...but it's a minor amount of cutting/sanding that needs doing. The only other thing to worry about are the 2 holes in the torso for shoulder pads, and if that's all there is to worry about then we're in the clear

The Problem Child, where the magic needs to happen. Just trimming a pouch, and these will fit together:

Let me know if you have any questions!

I didn't have time to work on the Flash Gitz/Nobz last night, I was out gaming...which is a fine trade off indeed! We are running Heralds of Ruin Kill Teams, which has been a blast so far. Gitz Ghosts are still undefeated, led by a Mega Armored Nob who is backed up by 3 Flash Gitz, 12 Boyz and 5 Kickin' Runtz. We'z da shootiest!

So it occurred to me, I have painted a TON of stuff since I need to post. Let's start with a Looted Wagon:

Gotta repaint the bases a little, but job's a good'un for now. 5 Boyz down, 300 to go...but I should be able to come to grips with that pretty quickly at 5 painted a night eh? I think I'm going to highlight the skin again, seems I lost a lot of definition in the wash. I'm also wondering why I bothered doing all the checks and dags you can't see

4 more Boyz done to tabletop. I'm getting excited about the book coming out, can't wait to play some games with it and report back my findings.

I've been finishing up my squad of 10 Boyz (complete now), and I've been using them in a Heralds of Ruin Kill Team Campaign with my gaming group http://heralds-of-ruin.blogspot.com/p/kill-team-rules.html.

It's been a ton of fun so far, I highly recommend it. Here's my roster.

Perhaps not, but since GW seems to subsist off sadness and pain, I can't rule it out.

I've been slowly working on my Morkanaut, Stompy Junior, and last night I sat down and got the lion's share of the work done. I've still got some detailing to put in, and I've got to think about how I'm going to work out some more support for it but this was my vision for it.

I did not like this model when I first saw it. It just looked derpy. So I had to think about what would make it better, and I figured it out. Those stompy feet needed to be working! So I figured I'd make a bit of a diorama out of it, with the Morkanaut destroying some Space Marines beneath it's feet. Having the Marine in the Klaw was an afterthought, but I really like how it came out. The number one thing I needed was the squished grot. Now I knew I had at least 2 of these in my bits, and I just couldn't find them. I scoured and scoured. I do have a sealed Giant kit I could have opened, but decided to buy one off of eBay. Wouldn't you know not 10 minutes after I paid for my order, I found one!

Isn't there a relic Power Klaw build from a Soul Grinder? My guess is that this is your Warboss with Cybork body.

A couple pics from the side, I hadn't glued the Klaw arm. Moving it forward a bit made it look more like he's stompin' and less like he's catching a fly ball beakie.
