Hello everyone. This is the fourth model I've painted now (A terminator, librarian, and predator were my first three) and I've gotten fairly ambitious with this one for not knowing a lot of techniques - I'm still learning how to wash and dry brush. This is my first real attempt at dry brushing the hull, and washing the base. The base is custom made with cork board, sand, white glue, and flock. The arms are from an aegis defense line quad cannon that had the pegs clipped off, and then holes drilled into them to mount on the dreadnought. So, in one model I took my first try at basing, custom fitting different parts, dry brushing, and washing.

What I would like to hear in feedback is "This is what you did right. This is what you could do better, This is what you could add. This is what you shouldn't do anymore."

I'm going to go work on my 5th model, a Tau Firewarrior inspired by the Seattle Seahawks color scheme in the mean time! Thanks everyone!

The base looks fantastic, much better than what you see on most beginner bases. The battle damage and rust on the legs very good too. It looks like you need more practice on your detail painting, but that should get better with each model. Try adding some black washes to the bare metal to tone down the shine. Looks like you're on the right track.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Looks pretty good. If you changed to easy things and did another one at ur current level you would be amazed.
1. Spend a little more time modeling and getting rid of mold lines.
2. Thin down your paint. To start with just mix everything 50/50 with water til you get the hang of it

I am a person who likes mould lines on the model if you use them correct, those mould lines need to be given a warn effect and make it look like its battle damage.

As for your first complete go is is good, I like the colours and the effects you have used, just need to use slightly thinner paint.
