Are you going to be using the PSc 1/2 traxs? If you do go with plastic i would mount them on a Med. base it really helps the plastics out for weight and durability issues.

I don't have any of the PSC half-tracks (yet!) but looking at the online assembly guide it looks like you could place some weight inside of the engine compartment and/or between the axels for the tracks if you prefer a baseless model.
