Hey Guys,
I've been trying to decide for a few weeks on what to get. My options are Aquila strongpoint, Imperial knight, or a vampire battalionbox. The Aquila strongpoint would be nice just because its such a massive fortication that can have house vortex missiles or a macro cannon. It would be great for games and even better for games like apocalypse. Getting the knight would allow me to have two of them. It would be such a cool aspect and super powerful in battle based on past titan battle experiences. The reason to get the battalion is to just increase my vampire counts army. The only way I could make it work though is to buy two of them, so that i could get enough models for actual unit sizes. So those are my thoughts, and I would like to know yours.
Thanks for any input!

Ultramarine army- 10k
Imperial knights- 2
Vampire counts- 2k
Eternity King- 3k
Dark Eldar: Eternal Thorn 1300pts
And lots of other armies, I just cant fit them here

I voted Aquila Strongpoint. You already own a Knight, and while two would allow you to play differently, model-wise adding a second Knight wouldn't be very special. Same goes for the Vampire Counts. You'd be adding to an existing army, and I am guessing not really getting any new types of miniatures? Just more of the same, and really not even enough to do much since you'd need two battalion boxes to be useful? Both of those choices seem subpar.
The Strongpoint would be a new model to add to your collection, which is enough reason alone to do it in my opinion. But on top of the newness, it is a really big, and fantastically detailed model that could be the centerpiece to a game table and has some wicked rules as an added cherry on top of an Awesome Aquila Sundae.

The Vampire Counts Battalion, but then I am biased. (I sold off my WH40K stuff recently. But I play Undead in Kings of War - so even though I don't play Warhammer, I could find a use for the Battalion..)
I would recommend getting the Battalion, and then downloading the free Kings of War rules - the Battalion can easily be used with either game. (And Mantic officially doesn't care what company makes the miniatures that you use for their game.)
Alternately, look at some of the Undead armies from Mantic - you will get a lot more bang for your buck, and the Undead are just about the best minis that Mantic produces. The GW Battalion has more variety of poses for the miniatures, and a large model for the centerpiece, but I like the look of the Mantic figures better. (Purely personal preference - a lot of folks prefer the look of the GW figures, so take a look and decide for yourself.)
The Knight runs a second.... I am tempted to buy it, just to paint it up - it looks good, even if I never play 40K ever again.

I voted for the Aquila Strongpoint.
You already have one Knight, do you expect to get the chance to run two of them on a regular basis?
You already have a Vampire Counts army. Do you really need the extra models, or is the army good enough to use as is?
As you do not already have the Aquila, it can provide two uses for you. One, you can of course use it as an Aquila Strongpoint. Two, it can also see use as a large piece of (possibly impassable) LOS-blocking terrain when not in use as an actual Aquila Strongpoint. Our group does this fairly often with a lot of our extra fortifications, declaring them as either ruins or impassable terrain, depending on our fancy.

BUY ALL THREE
they are all way too awesome to pass up. and make sure you order direct because the other sellers wont help you if something goes wrong with the shipment, that is if they ship at all. many of those guys are just out to scam you. buying direct comes with great customer service.
and did you need any paints, glue or brushes?
(not serious)

Are you ready to sink about 10 times more than what you aid for the Vampire Counts battalion into making a proper 3000pt army?
If no, then avoid.
Seriously, they're a fething expensive way to get into Fantasy.

Well, I'd go for the Vampires.
In our apoc games, one players included a stronghold several times and every time it got destroyed by turn one or two.
The Imperial Knights look awful if you ask me. Same guy as above plays three in our apoc games, but plays them too hesitant. This is not going to work.

Unless you have a big VC collection you are adding to already or are willing to get lots more miniatures, don't bother with the Vampire Battalion.
I'd recommend checking out the Dreamforge Leviathan. It kind of puts the knight to shame:

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better. |

I'd say vampires.
You already have a knight, and the Aquila, whilst good is a really dull build (personal tastes)
The vampires gives you lots of variety to build and paint, plus there's enough bits to make far more than the contents of the box

The strongpoint.
As long as you have the rules for it.
Deploy in it or near it, claim it, and let the built-in weapons pop away. Keep some squishies in it for cover, and use an emergency chute when it starts to look shaky.
Just putting my Redshirt hat on, there's always this:
Wall of Martyrs - Tempestus Firebase

It doesn't fit the FoC for the WoM network, as there's a set of trenches and a bunker missing. Stoopid GW.

Increasingly, the best purchases for any GW game are models by other companies....
Kromlech makes awesome orks, Mantic makes good undead, Dreamforge is in the process of making some incredible models, Scibor for Marines, Victoria Lamb for Guard....

About 110€ to spend, right ?
Start DBA 3.0 with 6mm minis from Baccus. Then start Bolt Action with 1/72 minis.
Oh, when I say "start" each game, I'm talking about having the books and building two tournament-sized armies (with options). Of course.
