Hey ya'll, looking for the community's input on a situation that came up during a game this past weekend. I'm just starting up a Vampire Counts army and was playing with a friend who plays Tomb Kings against an Empire army. My question has to do with Invocation of Nehek affecting Tomb Kings units in addition to Vampire Count Undead units... does IoN also heal the TK models when it is cast? I know they have the Nehekharan Undead special rule, which basically just says they are Undead that can't march; since they are still Undead and they are neutral in an alliance with VC (and thus able to be targeted by augments), would IoN spam heal them as well once they start losing models?

From a fluff perspective it made sense to us that they would be affected by IoN, and so we played it that IoN healed the TK Skellies in addition to my Skellies/Zombies. It only came up once or twice and so didn't drastically affect our game, but I was just curious how other players have played this (if at all). Thanks for the input!

Nehekharan Undead are considered Undead for all spells and purposes. Check FAQ.

Also, check the wording on some of the other rules, for instance, being near a VC general still will not allow you (the TK) to march as the TK AB specifically overrides the VC [march by the general] rule :

"..units with the Nehekran Undead rule can never make march moves.." (Tomb KIngs AB p.28).
