So, after lurking around in the League of Extraordinary Riveters pages, I decided to enter their latest challenge: An Accident.

I just so happened to have a scratch-built Rhino that I stuffed up in the scratch-building phase, so I thought I could make it look like it got Krak Missle'd to death...

First progress shots:

Alright, so I just found out that the LoER has a "no pre-built terrain" limitation, which makes sense - at least I've thought of something to get rid of that old Rhino, and I've got another idea for the League!

Ok, new idea for the LoER Round 13 challenge:

A destroyed storage tank of some description. I did what I always do - a rough sketch to figure out my plans, and then a quick forage through my scavenged scenery box. Lo and behold, I came across a few bits and bobs that would serve quite nicely. One pill bottle, a toilet roll tube, some straws, cardboard...and I decided it needed a chainlink fence, to fit in with a larger piece of scenery I've got planned. Images:

Very promising start mate there! I like your house hold ingredients, the contests are all about giving other hobbyists ideas and a bit of an insight on how to build their own terrain pieces, so using every day stuff is the winning formula ...imho...

Looking forward to where this will go...

Cheers, vik

Cheers, Viktor von Domm - it's already proven to be a very inspiring contest, and everyday stuff is FREE!

I've gotten the house flood-ready, so today is for painting!

So, I managed to get my hands on some tiny beads, so today is going to be riveting (it is called the League of Extraordinary Riveters, after all).

Also up for today - PAINTING (WARNING: I AM A TERRIBLE PAINTER) - this is where I am going to lose points...

Rivets glued! Bonus pic of the rust mixture I made up, as well as the chain-link fence (now with Imperial propaganda):

Here are a couple of things I've worked on between the LoER competition:

Spoiler:

Big silo with pipe - there is another stand-alone pipe section and an elbow bend bit that I've yet to finish building/put any paint on

Imperial Processing Plant - just got some pipes to add to this one, and some more paint.

Sorry about the phone-quality photos!
