Should be cool. Looking into how an army is constructed now ;p. Probably playing Sons of Horus or Thousand Sons.

Some more things on the rules:

- Modeling.
Basicly try and make the armies look like they are from the time of the heresy, and be consistent with weapons, nothing will be more confusing that "this Plasma Cannon is a Plasma Cannon, but this one over here is a Volkite Colverin.
- Painting
There are 18 legions, with established color schemes. But the legions are large enough that some companies/squads, etc may have their own variant color scheme..
So please try and make your army either one of the legion established schemes or a obvious variant of the established scheme for the legion. Remember sone legions had different colors than their 40k descendent.

-changing armies.
This is a narrative campaign, so changing sides or armies based on the scenario is perfectly fine.

Imperial Army:
that is expected in the next FW Horus Heresy book, so we'll see what they come up with.

Legions without rules yet: either use the default legion list, or 'counts as' one of the legions with rules, but the count's as has to be logical for the legion you are talking..

xenos
While the heresy is the imperial civil war, I'm not going to exclude players without a marine army.
We'll try and come up with some rules to make the xenos seem more 30k also.

I also have set up a sort of unofficial forum for people playing at The Whiz, and I've started to put info there also. so if you're interested in the campaign you may want to sign up there also: http://z13.invisionfree.com/OrdoScriptorum/index.php

I'm in the final stages of planning the campaign, I need anyone interested to let me know what army they will be playing so I can have appropriate missions ready.

Please either post here or go on the Ordi Scriptorum form at: http://z13.invisionfree.com/OrdoScriptorum/index.php and post what faction you are going to play.

The Horus Heresy is an Imperial Civil War; but xenos were still around, so it is acceptable to have some Xenos armies, but they will require more work in creating appropriate scenarios, so please let me know right away if you are planning on running xenos forces.

Also I would also like to know who has Ork and Eldar forces they could play if a specific scenario needs those factions

Just a reminder for anyone interested the campaign starts this coming Tuesday (1/13).
If you are planning on being involved and can't make it this week, please let me know what army you're going to be playing, and what side you would prefer to be on.

Hoping to get down for a game this Tuesday. Is everyone using 30k rules? Without any experience with the 30k rules, would it be easier to just use 40k list rules?

Most of the players were using the 30k rules. but in reality the core rules are basically the same, its the new units, wargear, and special characters that are the biggest difference.
From what I saw walking around, the players who were using a lot of 30k rules had to spend a lot of time looking stuff up, so working out the rules it's really a problem.
Personally I'd just make an index card for each unit with it's special rules and page references.

fyi, FW put out an 7th edition errata: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/H/Horus_Heresy_7th_Ed_FAQ_Dec_2014.pdf

The Vandice Cluste Stands!

The Mechanicum cleverly payed off the orks with [vat grown] teef

A Stompa, Two Stormlord, an Imperial Knight, and The Warmaster, and all manner of demons all made an appearance, but in the end the Vandice Forge stood against the forces of the Warmaster.

Wining Team: Loyalist
Best General Winning Team: Eric
Best General Defeated Team: Chris
Best Painted by player vote : Eric

I want to thank all the players, and InquisitorMac for the fantastic terrain he made for the store.
All the kit built terrain on this final game (except the light grey wall of maryters sections in the middle) were done by InquisitorMac.
