I have found a mid war list I like and its the Aufklärungsschwadron Tunisia & Italy.

I have planned

1 Aufklärungs Platoon - full with mg cars

1 Gepanzerte Aufklärungs Platoon with all Half Tracks and command upgrade half tracks

1 Light Panzerspäh Platoon

1 Gepanzerte Anti-tank Platoon

1 Gepanzerte Infantry Gun Platoon

1 Panzer IV F2 or G (3 tanks)

How well do these transfer onto late war?

I definitely want an army thats all mounted with all transports. Fast and mobile with all those extra mgs is what I want, with a fair amount of AT. After playing my first tournament, which was an early war tournament I would love to have some forces that open me up to playing all periods so I can attend more of them.

I would check the HG list in Fortress Italy.

Ok cool will do.

Im open to all nations except USA really. Since there is no Japs for any other period I have t branch out to play in any other tournament to come.

Since Americans are out, Germans would give you an army for Tunisia and MW and LW Italy. Brits have separate MW lists for Tunisia and Italy. For Germans I agree with the Colonel in his recommendation of the Hermann Goring Division.

If you don't mind missing out on a separate Tunisia lists for the Brits, you could always play a MW Armoured Car Squadron/LW NZ Divisional Cavalry.

OK, well it seems the HG division is what I want to look at.

I simply dont want to have 3 separate armies to cover the periods. So hopefully you guys have found my solution.

Actually a CT armoured rifle with Stuart's and M10's in MW is very similar to a CV armoured rifle in LW

Also I would suggest Finn's I can use in all three time periods, the infantry are the same and with magnets the AT guns and artillery are easily swapped out

Romanians Vanatori Motorizata would be a decent choice, the basic troops and a lot of the support stays the same (there's also a pretty good chance that once they're released for EW they'll still be using a lot of the same equipment). Soviet Tankoky using T-34's are another option (if you use Plastic Soldier Company models you'll get both the 76mm and 85mm turret options), aside from the tanks the only thing I'd add for LW is some SU-100's.

I have a Luftwaffe MW army, I use them also as attachments to my LW panzer lehr variant lists.

Since you already have Germans, I would suggest you stick with them as some models can be interchangeable.

Very sorry, I realized I fluffed my OP, I have the list in the OP planned to buy as it seems like a lot of fun to use.

Finns and Romanians are something I will look into as well. Cheers.
