hi all.
a few weeks back I posted a pic of a kommando nob I'd been working on. I was just brought back into the hobby and wanted to test my greenstuff skills, and with a help from a few of you I ended up with a pretty cool looking model. so thanks!
then of course came the problem of the other 7 (im only having a unit of 8 for kill team although I already have plans for the last 2) boys. the official models are beautiful, especially the nob. but to be frank there was no way I was going to buy two boxes of the guys and remortgage my house. so after a browse on ebay at ridiculous times in the morning, I managed to pick up some boys, back packs and other gubbins at extremely reasonable prices. Thanks ebay.
so I got to work, and although some are simple conversions, some are not so when my confidence with the models grew. and here some of them are! hopefully the photo quality isnt too bad now. critique welcome, please be gentle though my skills are relatively amateur. painting to follow!

altered storm boyz head. you'll start to see a theme with the goggles :)

Another, not so well made back pack.

the scorcha. I wasn't keen on the hole in his mask for the cigar so a simple change with a bit of green stuff. and a r2d2 esq attachment to his fuel tank :)

[Thumb - 20140819_153434.jpg]
mpre goggles! as with a few of the other boyz I sculpted extra pouches to his front to try and 'beef' him up a bit

my 'comms' boy. even orks need to communicate!

[Thumb - 20140819_153407.jpg]
backpack made from a guard comm pack. extra pockets and tankbuster bombs as standard

Wot's faster than a warbuggy, more killy than a warbike, and flies through da air like a bird? I got no bleedin' idea, but I'm gonna find out.

so painting has begun! I've always been a deathskull fan, so my decision was easy when it came to colour. I was going to attempt some sort of digital camo, but felt it would make the model too busy. i eventually decided on some lucky blue clothes; as these are sneaky orks and they could do with as much luck as possible!
but is he a little too blue? I no there isn't much to go from but any opinions would be great.
Thanks!

hello again!
so painting on my first model is almost complete. sorry for the slow progress, this is some what of a tester model, making sure the colour scheme is kommando-ish, and I think its working so far. im going to change the strap of his gun to the standard orc check warpaint, and add some blue warpaint to the skin. I still have teeth, black areas and other little details to finish. but here he is so far! criticism always welcome. thanks for looking!
