Hello there,

Some of you may know about my former kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/932371889/mantis-model-storage-case). I never anticipated how successful it would become and as a result I need to employ some people to help with gluing trays allowing me to work in other areas to fulfil my obligation to backers and for future projects.

The position will be temporary, but if it goes smoothly it will be a permanent thing. I will be contracting you as self employed. You will be paid above national minimum wage and the hours will be flexible between 10-5 (will sort out the hours during the interview) between Mon-Fri.

It will be a relaxed atmosphere so you can listen to music with headphones etc.

What I need from you:

Live within the High Wycombe area or can travel there.

A steady hand and able to keep the glue within the wall dividers

Self motivated

Knowledge of wargaming would be beneficial.

Positive attitude and can hit deadlines

Interested?

If you're interested please send an email with your details and a brief statement of why want the job at ilikegluing@mantiscreations.com

The closing date for all applicants will be on the 26/8/14. After this you will receive an email if successful for an interview.

Thanks,

Tyron

Just another update.

Anyone you know can apply for this who needs a job they don't need to be war gamers.

If you have questions feel free to post them here.

Thanks!

Thanks! Financially yes but not so in applicants for some reason.

Maybe it is because of the contact infromation? I wouldn't be too inspired by applying for a job through "ilikegluing" - it doesn't sound too exciting to be honest. You should have re-written the add a bit, by stating that one will start with more mundane work initially, but that there is room from personal growth eventually.

I added the humour bit to make light of the job. We all know it's not an exciting job (I have glued 2.5k trays so far). But I know there's some people out there who have had no luck in the job market and I'm giving them an opportunity.

At the moment there's not much to progress with because I haven't started on the other projects. But if they know about wargaming then they can come with me to trade shows, get 50% off etc which I would explain in the interview.

I have had some applicants but a few didn't realise it was in England.

I was just pulling your leg a bit, I think this is a great initiative from your side to offer employment to gamers that visit these forums. Here, if anyplace, you'll be able to find people with heart for this hobby.

Thank you.

That's my intention I know this can grow and getting gamers would be ideal for trade shows, customer interaction etc because they have a passion for the hobby.

I do hope people see this as more than just gluing trays because I will be expanding in other areas allowing for them for them to transition into other roles. And I'll be sat there with them gluing too.

Cheers!

Hello,

Because I have made a thread on another wargaming site I have increased the deadline to the 31st.

There is one thing I'd like to clarify - While this opening is for gluing trays as I expand you will be able to move around (trade shows, customer relations, shipping etc). If you know someone who fits the bill, wargamer or not and needs a job they're more than welcome as the hours are flexible for parents also.

Thanks

Cheers!
