So a while back I managed to get a Stormlord in a trade from another Dakka member, Slushosaur. I traded some BFG bits for it but there was one problem, in Slushosaurs own words...
"Sadly she does have a bit of a reputation for slaughtering Loyalists but I'm sure a some of bleach and a new clean paintjob and nobody will ever know of her tormented past, Its not like we Daemonically possesed her or anything Mwaahaahaahaa!"

Link to the poor possessed little darling: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/556501.page

So after the techpriests had got their hands on it and given it a good dose of binary prayers, mystic rites and thoroughly scrubbed the taint it emerges like the proverbial butterfly from the caterpillar or cocoon or whatever...

It's a little too clean for my liking as i've yet to weather the model as I plan on working on the whole army at the same time and still have a few more tanks to paint up yet.
Anyways, thanks for looking guys and any C+C, tips, suggestions and praise would be much appreciated.

Looks awesome, at least there were any bloodstains in the carpet, that smell never comes out.

I honestly wouldn't know. Thanks for the positive (if slightly creepy) feedback.

Looking at the pics I feel like I should possibly paint the ends, muzzle breaks? on the sponson lascannons in black like the rest of the tank.
The silver just seems to fly off into nowhere and it'd possibly frame them a bit better. I will NOT be painting them bright red.
What do you think?

I've never been a fan of silver on my minis, but I am glad to see it works for you, I still want to see some dirt on those tracks . Yes the flash suppressors need some other color just to tone down the bright silver.

Nice job on the re-sanctification. The Stormlord's machine spirit thanks you

The silver bits are a bit stark. A dark brown or black wash would knock down the metallic sheen a few notches. Also, I agree that the muzzles on the lascannons, as well as the heavy bolter casings, should probably be painted black. Otherwise, the only other modification I would suggest would be to remove the old-school searchlight. It looks like a bizarre hood ornament.

Duly noted, the second picture is probably the fairest representation of the silver. It's actually flat Boltgun Metal over black I just think that the white balance on the pics is a little harsh.
The metallics do certainly need a bit of work though but that kinda falls into the weathering category for me. I'll definitely be doing a purple/orange fade on the exhausts and the tracks need all sorts doing to them. I'm just unsure on the colour for the dust/mud as the majority of the other tanks in the army are a buff colour so it's finding something that will work well with both and fit the desert theme of the rest of the army.

I love it, it's not going anywhere. It's such a wacky piece that never should have been in the tank sprue, I dunno I just think it's funny and makes me smile in the same way that stepped polystyrene hills do.

Fair enough! Style has no right or wrong

Heresy. The taint of Chaos can only be cleaned by Exterminatus. Microwave it.

Just kidding, looks solid. I feel the bolters could use... something. They look to be plain, straight metal.

Nice reclamation! I like the attention to details on the model.

Although, "scrubbing the taint"....phrasing?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one giggling writing it.

Microwaving the taint can only lead to bad things happening and an inevitable trip to A+E.

I'm glad that the general consensus it that it's too clean, it's an easy fix and something that I had intended to work on.
The bolter casings definitely need blocking out in another colour too, I was being lazy but I think that will have to be done now, thanks guys!

Cheers for the kind words so far everyone and watch this space for when I reinstate the filthiness of the taint.
