This will be the blog for showing off my own Space Marine Chapter.

If I could change my Screen Name I would, but so far it is the same as my homebrew Chapter.

The force has somewhat gotten away from me in scale but it has gone from this last October:

To about this a few months ago:

The standard of painting varies across the army but for the moment it is never going to be quite finished.

Over the coming days I'll post the FoC of the current army. And over time I will show off any further additions.

The latest unit is the Standard Bearer and he has been painted slightly differently, and hopefully to the future quality.

Today is HQ Day.

So the large Gang of HQ units and the Honour Guard will be showcased today.

As will a better photo of the Standard bearer.

Fluff-y Stuff here:
Spoiler:
The Defiant Lambdas are a successor chapter to the Brazen Minotaurs. They stem from a detachment of Brazen Minotaurs that had spent time with Ravenwing. Their ship became lost in the warp and was thrown back 2,500 years on an isolated semi-feral world, known as Thrace. They defended Thrace like gods and with primitive Imperial Guard forces held back a centuries of demon incursions and attempts at corruption. The few Brazen Minotaurs that remained were regarded as heros. Inquisitorial forces eventually found Thrace and brought it to heel. Reverence of the Brazen Minotaur heros was deemed heretical, and to counter false worship the Defiant Lambdas were formed. The defiance of the small force against overwhelming odds was used to inspire a geneseed drawn from the survivors.

Thrace was converted into a new forgeworld, slowly churning out tried and tested wargear. With limited Mechanicum knowledge the forges started to churn out Mk 1 Rhinos, and older variants of Jump-packs and other gear. The Defiant Lambas are a mixed force of cheaper and older equipment and struggle for supplies in their early campaigns. Fast attack bike squadrons and Jump forces are a common sight in their tactics.

Few other battle brothers have seen them and their Imperial Navy fleet is still mostly dedicated to the Thrace IG Regiments. The Thrace IG forces are keen urban fighters and like the Defiant Lambdas also favour fast attack.

Chapter master Korrin Cage (DV Chapter Master model) is one of the first of the geneseed. He rose quickly through the companies of the newly formed Chapter and is bestowed with similar heraldry to Dark Angels.

Due to their young nature the quantity of Scouts is higher than other chapters, and they are often seconded and loaned to others to be battle forged. Many do not return. Those who survive these tests of strength return to the Devastator Company, a proud wing of the companies tactics. The most talented of which are awarded Spartan type Helmets to show their devotion to the Chapter.

Captain Auralius is the Commander of the 5th Battle Group, and the main focus of my forces. His power sword was damaged in the jaws of Ork Warboss Stukka Stompa, when they're fleet encountered Stukkas gang raiding an abandoned space station. In their dual Stukkas power jaw seized and severed the tip of Auralius's power sword. Insulted by this apparent alchemy of per luck, Aurlalius drove the sword through Stukkas proud teeth and out the other side of his skull. Auralius garners great respect in the Chapter and is often granted forces from the 10th/9th/8th/ and 1st Companies to augment his forces.

(Auralius is an old HQ metal commander, with damaged sword)

The standard bearer is very nicely painted.

Thanks for the tips.

I actually got a bit fed up with the poor quality of my older work, so I went back to the paintbrush.

I repainted the first 2 tactical squads.

Below is a before and after of how they've changed.

All C&C welcome.
