I need some advice on my new Tyranid army list. I'm trying to make a 1500 point army list but I'm not quite sure whats good and not with the new codex. Here is what I have so far but any advice and recommendations would be really appreciated.
Hive Tyrant
Wings
x2-Twin-Linked Devourers with Brainleech Worms
x3 Tyrant Guards
x65 Hormagaunts
x3 Hive Guards
x1 Trygon
x2 Carnifex
x3 Biovores
x30-Termagants
I could be a little off and I'm slightly confused on a few things but I was going for a slightly more shooty army but I think I failed to pull it off right....

Well, you have plenty of good figs, but you'd be happier with a few more pieces....If you add an Exocrene, and a Warrior Brood, you can run a Living Artillery formation, and that is tre-shooty. You'll also really benefit from some Zoanthropes, and Venothropes (or the new hotness Malanthrope)

Right now you are seriously short on Synapse, so some more of that is a good place to start...a second Tyrant is a purchase you'll never regret. The Carnifex will work best as Dakkafex right now (magnets are your friend)

I think you have plenty more Hormies than you need, and are a little short on Termagants...Trygon is a good MC, but not a popular choice in the current Meta.

This is just a suggestion, meant as a template for building, and purchasing...

HQ: Winged Tyrant Dakka, thorax hive 240

Hive Guard, x2 110
Zoey Brood, x2 100
Veno Brood, x2 90

Warrior Brood, x3, Strangle Cannon 100
Hormagaunt Brood, x20 100
Hormagaunt Brood, x20 100
Termagant Brood, x20 80
Termagant Brood, x20 80

Dakkafexen, x2 300

That should run around 1100 to 1200. You can toss in the Biovores for 120 or so, and be in the ballpark.

Living Artillery runs around 400 usually...and would use the Biovore, and possably the Warriors...I'd suggest a second Brood of Warriors though... You may well find you can single out the Zoeys, and Venos based on your local "meta".

Ok so if I added in a Veno Brood and make the trygon into a Trygon Prime would that make up for my lack of synapse or do you believe I could use more? Also Should I get rid of tyrant guards for the warriors brood?
Hive Tyrant
Wings
X2-Twin-Linked Devourers with Brainleech Worms
X3 tyrant guards
X3 hive guards
X2 Venonthrope
Trygon Prime
X2 Dakkafexen
X3 Biovores
X40-Termagants
X40 hormagaunts

The Trygon Prime isn't meant to be with the army, and the winged Tyrant CAN'T be with the army. It flies. So why do you have Tyrant Guards at all? They don't have wings to keep up. You NEED Synapse. A lot of Synapse. Otherwise the bubbles are JUST going to be aimed at destroyed.

Tyrgon is a durable source of Synapse, but very expensive. Zoeys give buffs, have Dominion, and have a 3++ save, Warriors can hide in terrain, and have 9 wounds min. and they are not terribly expensive.(and the cannon lets them snipe at long range) The Winged Tyrant is durable, but it's "thing" is zooming around shooting Brain Leeches, not providing Synapse.

If you have not glued it, I would build the Trygon as a Mawloc, and add at least two more Synapse to the list.

Living Artillery usually looks like this: 400
Warrior Brood, x3,x2 Deathspitters, Venom Cannon (110)
Exocrene (170)
Biovore Brood, x3 (120)

This adds a lot of shooty, has good special rules, and has it's own Synapse. But you'll almost always want to have a Veno babysit it for survival, toss a couple of Hive Guard in and you have a boss firebase.

If you need points losing the Tyrant Guard makes good sense, because your Tyrant has Wings. and you'll save points. Example: Tyrant Guard Brood, x3 150 vs Zoey (50) + Warrior Brood, x3, Strangle Cannon (100) That gives you two durable Synapse, plus the (small) possibility of getting a Warp Lance off.
