Death-Dealing Devastator

Hi guys! So I finally finished my first Space Marine Tactical Squad for my custom chapter, (with the help of the shrouded lord): Dragons of Redemption. Some fluffy goodness here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/586715.page (I wrote that a while ago). Now, I know I'm not the best painter and I only used the paints that were needed, to save money. But let me know what you guys think. By the way, this is the best photo I could get, so any ideas to get a better result will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think they look great for a first squad. Well done getting them all painted.
I think you should tidy the bases up though, maybe add a bit of terrain. It's easy to forget, but it helps them look more finished.
You might also want experiment with wash to help bring out some of the details, if you haven't tried that yet (it's a little hard to see).

1. where the hell's my credit? huh? nah man just joking.
2. nice work, you did better than I thought you would (because it's your first squad, I mean.)
3. you did good with the head swap.
4. maybe you should do the wash just a little heavier. a little.

Thanks guys. I wasn't real worried about the bases, but if you think it'll help a lot, then I might give 'em a try. Also I didn't want to do the wash too heavy in case it looked bad. Better too be safe than sorry.

Perfectly good tabletop painting, especially for a first squad.
The visual appearance would be improved by painting or texturing the bases. I simply glue beach sand onto my bases. It doesn't even need painting.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of the women.
