So I'm starting Beastmen for my First fantasy army (having played 40K). I want to basically create a Minotaur focused army, using them as a bull dozer to just sweep across the field wracking up additional attacks. So I really need help what else to add to them to boost them up (other than brey shamman)

I know I need the following:

Doom Bull
Minotaurs (how many for 1.5k)
Brey Shamman (how many for 1.5k)

Do you run Gors as standard infantry? Is there anything else I should grab as I build my shopping cart list for my new army?

You have to have minimum core of 25%, so some Gors or ungors need to be included, if for no other reason than to get ranks

The "Minobus" is one of the few competitive builds for Beastmen. That said, it's pretty hard to pull off. Watch out for shooting and the like.

Gors with two hand weapons are probably the most common units out there.
You don't need them, though. You don't need ranks, if you don't want to.

I've seen Beastmen lists that run a bunch of small Ungor units and Chariots to fill out their Core. It doesn't play nearly the same as big blocks of tough goat-people, but he did pretty well with it.

Razorgors are great. Just in units of 1, for a tough little re-director.

Ghorgons are giant Minotaurs. With four arms!

As for how many Mino's...From what I recall, I've seen 6 being fairly common. With three characters in the front, so all your opponent can attack are the characters. That's for 2,000+, though. Might have to downgrade for 1,500.
This is called a Deathstar. And with it, you'll either win big, or lose horribly.

For Wizards, the usual set-up is one lvl4 and one lvl2, though Beastmen can go magic-heavy (I've seen one lvl4 and three lvl1-2 wizards pretty often) with some good results.
Just don't take their Lore. Shadow, Death, and Beasts are all fantastic.

6 Minos with Full Command and EHW is 404 points. That's about the most you can run in 1500. With that you'll want a Doombull and a Gorebull. I'd also recommend a crown of command someway somehow. It's a 800 point unit that way. You lose them from fleeing. Game over.

As for gor blocks. I recommend nothing smaller then 35-40 for the main block. Then you can use 15-25 gor blocks for MSU.
I don't try to get cute with gor though. I use them in minimum 30 man blocks with FC and EHW. Gors aren't terrible they just need help via magic or assisted charges.

Minos though. They are my favs. Understand you will live and die by them. Once they get moving they maim anything they touch. They suffer to shooting, magic and artillery though. They truly are a glass hammer. They are actually easy to kill.

The upside to them. A unit of 6 (4 wide) with a DB and GB will deliver 32 S5 attacks (some at S6). That will end most anything.
If you get Wyssans off on them stand back and watch the carnage ensue. That makes them S6 T5. It's a huge difference.

Understand all your eggs are in this basket. It's heartbreaking sometimes and other times you can't jackhammer the smile off my face from the damage they do.

Hey there!

If you're going to run the mino bus with two mino characters run them two wide with the characters in front to protect the fleshy minos.

For your doombull check out the ramhorn 1+ re-rollable save build on the herd stone. With average luck he can win you the game by himself at 1500pts

For chaff as others have mentioned I use the razorgor I also use two units of 5 raiders, I sometimes combine these and stick my wizards into them as a sort of bunker.

If I run gor I take units of 40-50 and generally would go with a beastlord as the general with crown of command and a survivable BSB. The unit is sort of points denial as its hard to wipe out.

Good luck!

Nurgle Daemons: 2000pts
Lizardmen: 3000pts
Beastmen: 3000pts
Vampires: 2000pts

True, however they are one of the other armies that can field regular/heavy chariots as core. Its been a long time since I've seen thier book can't they also do ambush with Ungor skirmishers?

shauni55, a Doombull in a unit of Minotaurs is a great and powerful unit. I dont have the book so I'll say your list should might look something like this, if you want your list to focus on Minotaurs.

Lord

Choose only one: Doombull (full on combat monster) or Great Bray Shaman Lv 4

Hero(s)

Minotaur BSB

Bray Shaman (Only if you don't have a Lv 4 shaman)

Core

1-2 Chariots

Gors and or Ungors (archers maybe?)

Special

6 or 8 Minotaurs with full command. put the Doombull and BSB here. squad shape 2x4 or 2x5

1-2 units of Centigors (I think this is what they are called) or whatever the fast cav unit choice is
