Land Speeder - 50

Storm Talon - 140

Total 1500

Dreadnought and predator for anti tank, storm talon for anti air, the land speeder grabs late game objectives and the master of the forge bolsters some cover and adds some extra fire power, will Bolter spam kills every thing else, and there is nearly a company's worth of space marines on the table

No Advice? After looking at my list more i was thinking about swapping the lascannon on the storm talon for the skyhammer missile launcher and upgrading the land speeder to a whirlwind

Honestly, I think you're better off dropping the neophytes in each squad and taking a pod as just regular marines do. The durability of the pod and combat squads is more survivable.

However, if you want to make a horde, use that for objectives and handling other things on the ground..drop the dreadnought and land speeder and get something to focus on anti armor or air.

At 1509 though, the chances of you going up against 2 heldrakes is probably low.. Just if ore the air units and try bringing an Imperial Knight Errant!

The MotF doesn't get you anything, so go for the cheap Libby and drop the speeder, predator and talon.

Here's something that might work.. One CC blob with the Libby maybe you'll get invis lol! And the others to shoot things.

Librarian - lvl 2, force axe, melta bombs

I have to say I have always been a bit underwhelmed by the Black Templars and their chapter tactics, and their crusader units are not much to write home about either. Always a shame though, as they are easily the best looking chapter model wise.

For an 10 extra points you could have a normal 10 man TAC squad and a 10 man scout squad which can scout/infiltrate. This gives you the same amount of Dakka, but more flexibility. With Imp. Fist bolter drill even better as a horde. Only issue is you use 2 CAD slots instead of one.

If you want some late game objecsec grabbers, maybe deepstriking assault squads might be better than landspeeders? More survivable if they come in too early and can take on any soft units your opponent might have left on the objective. Would agree with Stormtalon change though – sky hammer every time for full AA

Libby (if not BT) 65 pts
10 Man TAC (x3) 420 pts
10 Man Scout (x3) 330 pts
Dread (rifleman) 120 pts
Stormtallon (skyhammer) 125 pts
5 man Assault Sqd (x2) 170 pts
Pred (Las sponsons only) 115
Pred (Las sponsons only) 115

1460 pts

Leaves you 40 points for toys (or to upgrade libby to captain/chaplain if you are set on Black Templars) and still gives you a 70 marine horde and an extra tank.

If in doubt, frag it out...

Adjusting my post since I totally forgot Black Templars don't trust psykers... so I guess just switch the libby for the MotF like you had with the 2+ save and can fortify a piece of terrain, or perhaps a Chaplain? I still think it's a good list though and would be fun to try!
