Wouldn't it be great if there was some way to get excited about the wargaming hobby in combination with raising cash for charity?
Well, actually, there is! Over the last 6 months myself and some others have been pulling together a simply amazing pool of prizes for a charity raffle in aid of the international childrens' charity, UNICEF.
http://project-alchemy.weebly.com/
We are launching with an initial pool of 15 prizes, with a further 15 being added over the course of the project. Here are just some of the fabulous prizes up for grabs:
Regiment of unreleased Warhammer Empire Warrior Priests
Ratspike artbook signed by John Blanche
Original 1987 pencil sketch of Warhammer 40,000 orks by Ian Miller
Warhammer 40,000 Chaos Terminator painted by Paul Sanderson
Donations are made through JustGiving - the secure charitable donations platform (linked from the Project Alchemy website) using credit or debit card, or paypal. Every £1 donated to the project qualifies the donor to receive a raffle ticket to be entered into the draw (i.e. £5 donated = 5 tickets). The donation period runs until 9th November, after which the prize draw will be made.
Please take a look at the website http://project-alchemy.weebly.com/
Please donate generously!

Good for you.
Donated and shared.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Our current total is £673! As an incentive to donate, the prize pool gets bigger - five fantastic new prizes have just been added. A superb classic Iron Claw Space Pirate painted by Battlebrush Studios, artwork by Des Hanley and Roberto Cirillo, as well as some rather tasty miniatures. Here's a teaser, to see all the new prizes and for information on how to win them, visit the Project Alchemy website or Facebook page

So close to the total now with nearly £1,500 donated in aid of UNICEF! Thanks to all of you who have delved into your pockets so far. Remember, you can only be entered into the prize draw with donations received by Sunday 9th November. Every £1 donated = 1 entry to the draw, so the more you donate, the more chances of snagging a prize you have.
Let's try and hit that £2,000 target!
