Hi, my name is Nicolai and I'm from denmark. The purpose of this blog is to follow the creation of my 1850 points Ultramarines army. Pictures of models will be posted along with army lists and updates on games I'ves played.

Like I said in your other thread, these look great! Looking forward to seeing some more soon.

All I would say is the helmet on the WIP one could use a little more definition, but it might be a) the pic and b) you just haven't got around to it!

Subbed!

Very nice, but try a bit more distance between the model and the camera to avoid blurry pictures.

Lovely, lovely. Now give 'm an oil paint wash to neatly outline all those lovely details, muahahaha!

But even without that, they'd still look great though.

You can purchase, but it's better to make it by yourself. Needed are: a tube of black oil paint, from an artsy brand, or MIG has good quality oil painst as well. And odourless turpentine (store that have oil paints will have this too), needed for the wash and cleaning of your brushes.

Then simply make the wash in a little jar that seals very well, as you'll need roughly 1:8 paint:turpentine, and shake it very, very, very, very, very well.
The cool thing is that oil paints can be removed, corrected, adjusted, up to the point where you 'seal' the layer with a spray of varnish.

Here's a good before & after example of something I made earlier: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/120/311030.page#3423951

I like the worn look. But like meph said, i would give them a little wash, so the details will pop out more.
Here you have a little tutorial how to use and make oil washes.
It's pretty difficult to get the right ratio, but it's worth to give it a try.
Maybe it's helpful

Last night were the setting for the completion of 2 additional terminators

And the 2nd

Group shot

I would like to know what you guys think i should paint, when I've finished the last terminator in the squad. Also - I'm definetly going to give the oil wash a try at some point, though the nearest hobby store is a bit far away, and the moneys tight at the moment - But some day

Very cool, I like the way you mounted the weapons under rather than on the shoulders!

Actually, I can't take the credit for the conversion work, it was done by a friend of mine. Forgot to mention it

So - I haven't updated this blog for a couple of days; I haven't been doing nothing though, here's what I've painted

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And now - Tonights task, finish this Legion of the Damned squad, complete with plasma gun, combi plasma and plasma cannon. Gotta love ignoring cover.

The pictures aren't optimal though. The base dark colors make it hard to differ the nuances. They are more defined IRL
