I've been looking at these kits (especially the Panzer III), and I'm wondering where they are designed and manufactured. Their website gives no hint - anyone know? I also noticed that the actual plastic kits shown in the reviews on some sites are rather less impressive than the crisp prototypes on Rubicon's website.

Their order arrives from China, it says in the original post, so I assume that's where it's manufactured at least.

They say that they are a digital design studio so I imagine they're doing all but the manufacture in-house. They already have a thread on Dakka in the N&R forum..

The person posting for them has a HK flag, so maybe that's where they're from.

They're from Hong Kong and thus from the no doubt evil China. YMMV, I don't care where they're from.

What I've seen so far in terms of previews and early reviews this will blow Warlord's plastics out of the water. Can't wait for a local store to start stocking them!

Okay, thanks. I think I know where they being designed. As I said, I think you'll find they're not quite as sharply moulded as the prototype photos suggest. Better than Warlord's own efforts, like the SdKfz 251, but about the same as the kits Italeri are doing for them.

I do hope of a better quality than Warlord-Italeri, I'm not that fond of the quality of their plastics myself.

Though the new plastic 234/2 Puma Warlord just showed off ups the ante again. Looks _fantastic_.

And there's a Tiger I in the works. I think including Zimmerit on their Tiger was a good move. And Warlord isn't quite so fixated on German armour.

Looks like the both of them are once again scaled down 1:35 / 1:48 kits from their other ranges. Makes me hope they'll give their Opel Blitz German army truck the same treatment one day, minus the annoying rubber wheels.

Personally I'd rather it didn't, but each to their own

Should work out - Rubicon's one apparently doesn't have Zimmereit - so players will have a choice. This is a good thing (tm).

Sorry for going offtopic Warlord on this PSC/Rubicon post

I am very excited for the new Rubicon models especially as it means there's now at least two companies making 1/56 plastic WW2 vehicles for a genre/scale that has only been growing in popularity in the recent years. Yay for us the consumers!

Huh? It's not about enjoying the hobby in different ways... I just said I'd prefer it didn't because I mostly would want one for earlier in the war prior to zimmerit and it's a lot easier to add zimmerit than remove it

But yes, if the Rubicon one is sans zimmerit and the Warlord one has zimmerit I'm fine with that. Actually, the more I think about it the more I don't see myself buying 28mm scale Tigers at all, so whatever

Think the Rubicon one has the early turret, but I think they have late war wheel spacing...

I really need to get out more.

I suck at adding Zimmerit, and the later versions always had it, so I prefer Warlord/Italeri's approach.
