So out of every ork lord of war, which has the most appeal for its points cost ? I've heard more than a few ( big mek stompa mainly) are lack luster.

Also do the Ork Bommers ( not the bomma ) and Kustom Stompa count as lords of war or are they just standard super-heavies at the current time ?

Kill Krusha at 275pts is pretty versatile. 25 points more gets you either 5 big shootas or 5 rokkits. Its got a tool for most jobs.

I emailed FW a long time ago about this and the answer was pretty much, "We listed the models currently readily available. If you have an older model you want to use, go for it." If when they get around to IA8 2nd Edition and the Kustom Stompa (likely) and FW Bommer aren't in there, then it's obsolete.

With the Kill Krusha, I never liked how with the tankhamma shell you had to roll a D6 to see if they loaded the right shell and then roll again to see if they actually hit. All the others are template / blast weapons and I think when the solid shell got lumped in there. It just bugs me because the ork probably isn't going to hit anyways, so why make him increase his chance of failure. I would have much preferred it if the RAW stayed the same for the blast / template shells, but was changed to "On a to hit roll of 1 with a tankhamma shell, consult the chart below." They didn't change anything when they reprinted the rules, so until IA8 Revised comes out there's no chance of change.

I really want to make a Kill Bursta - mostly for the belly gun. That's not a 3D6" blast; it's a 3D6" blast radius. It's a huge gamble, but you'll have a S7, AP3, Primary 1 pie that's anywhere from 6" to 36" across!!!

I know. In my email to them I referenced that document. If you notice, the models listed there are all ones currently available. Unlike older 40K codecies, FW is trying to push the playability of existing models rather than making rules for something and forcing players to proxy the model or kit-bash something.
