1000 PT DAEMONS

HQ:

Herald of Khorne ( goes with one of the hound units)
-Juggernaut, Axe of Khorne

TROOPS:

2 x 10 Pink Horrors

FAST ATTACK:

12 Flesh Hounds
11 Flesh Hounds

HEAVY:

2 x Slaanesh Soul Grinders
- Baleful Torrent

All of those are solid choices in the Daemon 'dex.

Definitely a good start for a herald hammer or hound rush type list

Yeah, I've always wanted to a rush assault type of list. Do you think Slaanesh or Nurgle grinders are better?

I would drop a flesh hound to put a pink horror in each squad putting both of them at 11 so they start with 2 warp charges.

11 horrors in a unit is nice.

I prefer slaanesh grinders over nurgle ones due to the speed. Some competitive lists at tournaments have been running grinders without any extra weapon. I'm not sure how I feel about this, as I do like the torrent flamers, but it is an idea to save yourself some points.

The only other thing I'll say is have you considered a Loci for your herald? Hatred is pretty powerful on a charging squad of flesh hounds.

Revised List. I could potentially put in a loci but this list comes out to exactly 1000 pt which I love.

I know the feeling about exactness (especially with daemons, it hardly ever happens with all of their wonky points values), but the Loci is totally worth it. I'd also recommend moving some hounds from one unit to the unit that's going to include the herald. Your opponent is going to focus on that squad so you might as well make sure the herald gets in combat.
