It gives the unit a bonus to WS (I think) and allows the bearer to re-roll a few things.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

How does the re-rolls work. Do I get a fresh reset of rolls in every phase such as up to three to hit and wound and save?

The description in the codex seems crystal clear to me.

As many rerolls as you want every turn, but if you fail, you are removed from play. Pretty clear to me as well.

If the rule says "Turn" then it's Player Turn.

It doesn't specify. It merely says turns. It would seem to be player turn.

This is one thing I hate about 40k, is they use the same terms too often for different things. Players should be taking 'turns'. The game should be taking 'rounds'. Once each player has taken their turn, that ends round 1 of the game. You play 5 rounds, with the potential for more if your mission has the roll off for a round 6. That way the Lucky Stik would be clear. Or they could simply have stated 'per player turn' or 'per game turn' instead of leaving it ambiguous.

Melevolence,
As I have ranted many times over the duel-use of terminology, so I will agree easily.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

I agree that they need to clean up their terminology but the rules are clearly stated in the rule book that a turn is always a player turn unless otherwise stated.

Just remember that you can only reroll every roll once.
